Nghe An attracts more than 869 million USD of FDI capital in 9 months of 2025

In the first 9 months of 2025, investment attraction activities in Nghe An continued to record positive results, with total newly granted and adjusted investment capital reaching more than 33,836 billion VND.

As of September 30, 2025, the province has approved investment policies and granted investment registration certificates to 55 projects with a total investment of more than VND 11,275 billion. At the same time, 147 projects were adjusted, of which 42 projects increased capital by VND 22,560.9 billion.

Notably, foreign direct investment (FDI) capital achieved outstanding results, with 15 newly licensed FDI projects, total registered capital of 213.3 million USD, accounting for 27.3% of the number of projects and 48.1% of the total investment capital of the whole province. In addition, 14 FDI projects adjusted to increase capital by 655.8 million USD. Thus, the total newly licensed and adjusted FDI capital in 9 months reached 869.1 million USD.

Some major projects newly licensed in recent times include: VSIP Nghe An III Industrial Park (52.5 million USD); VSIP Nghe An Residential Area - Casa Bonita (88.84 million USD); Sunny (Vietnam) smart optical technology production project at WHA Industrial Park (11 million USD)...

In addition, many existing projects have had their investment capital increased sharply, such as Fu Wing Interconnect Technology Co., Ltd. (increased by 150 million USD); Galax waste-to-energy plant (increased by 2,928.8 billion VND); Andromeda export footwear manufacturing and processing factory in Hoang Mai I Industrial Park (increased by 32 million USD)...

In 2024, Nghe An will attract 1.750 billion USD, an increase of 8.8% compared to 2023, including 19 newly licensed projects with 867.8 million USD and 14 projects with increased capital of 881.76 million USD.

Previously, in 2023, Nghe An attracted FDI capital exceeding the 1 billion USD mark for the first time, reaching 1.603 billion USD, an increase of 66.8% compared to 2022, ranking 8th in the country in attracting FDI.

In 2022, the province's FDI attraction will reach 961.3 million USD, for the first time entering the top 10 localities attracting the largest FDI in Vietnam.

The above results show a stable and sustainable growth trend in attracting foreign investment in Nghe An, affirming the province's increasingly attractive position in the national FDI map, especially in the fields of processing and manufacturing industry, urban development, and industrial park infrastructure.
