Research on planning and development options for Da Nang International Airport and Chu Lai Airport

The leaders of the People's Committee of Da Nang city recently had a working session with relevant departments, branches and units on the planning and development plan of Da Nang International Airport and Chu Lai Airport.

Accordingly, after the arrangement of provincial administrative units between Da Nang city and Quang Nam province, it led to a change in the socio-economic development orientation of Da Nang city, the development orientation of dynamic areas between the two airports of Da Nang and Chu Lai. In addition, there were some difficulties in adjusting the defense land use planning, the impact of the operating clearance of Da Nang International Airport.

The Ministry of Construction and the People's Committee of Da Nang City have agreed to select a foreign consulting unit with capacity and experience to continue perfecting the planning scheme for Da Nang International Airport and Chu Lai Airport to improve the quality and efficiency of operations as well as ensure long-term development and optimize the land use plan of the airports. At the same time, the existing airport enterprise is assigned to preside over and implement this content.

Relevant departments, branches and units also discussed the roles and functions, proposed planning and development plans for Da Nang International Airport and Chu Lai Airport to ensure suitability and socio -economic development of Da Nang city after the merger.
