Sit at home and make an appointment, no more waiting
No longer having to queue up in front of the inspection center to wait for inspection like before, on the afternoon of November 7, Mr. Pham Thang (residing in Nam Tu Liem district, Hanoi ) brought his family car to the Inspection Center 2903S (Le Quang Dao street) to have the vehicle inspected according to the online schedule on the TTDK app of the Department of Registration.
Thanks to the inspection appointment booking application, people no longer have to wait in line for their turn to be inspected like before, helping to save time (illustrative photo).
After confirming the appointment, the staff immediately received the documents and asked Mr. Thang to wait for the inspector to call.
"Just about 5 minutes later, my car was brought into the inspection line by the inspectors and in less than 30 minutes, all inspection steps were completed very quickly," Mr. Thang said, adding: Thanks to the TTDK app, he can proactively choose an inspection center with an available schedule at the desired time frame, without having to wait tiredly and waste time.
"Just go to the TTDK app, select the appointment feature, fill in the vehicle registration number and choose the time and place for inspection, and on the appointment date, take the vehicle, no need to worry about queuing," Mr. Thang added.
According to the leaders of the inspection centers, making an appointment for inspection through the inspection app not only helps people save time and effort, but also helps inspection units proactively arrange vehicles for inspection according to their capacity, avoiding having to wait, especially in the morning every day.
Vehicle inspection demand increases, what should car owners pay attention to?
The Vietnam Register said that from November 2023, people's demand for vehicle inspection will increase again. By December 2023, it is expected that 7 localities may experience congestion in vehicle inspection because people's demand for vehicle inspection is much higher than the capacity of local inspection centers. Including: Dong Thap, Ha Giang, Hanoi, Kon Tum, Thua Thien Hue, Ho Chi Minh City and Tra Vinh .
Hanoi is one of seven localities at risk of traffic congestion in December 2023 (illustrative photo).
To avoid having to wait in line, the Department recommends that people should register for an inspection appointment via the TTDK app and bring their vehicles for inspection according to the selected time frame confirmed by the inspection centers to avoid having to wait.
For vehicles that have their inspection extended from June 2023 and must be re-inspected in December 2023, they should also proactively make an appointment for inspection early, especially in the 7 provinces/cities above to avoid the situation of overcrowding at the end of the year leading to overload.
At the same time, vehicle owners also need to proactively check, maintain, and repair any damage (if any) to the vehicle before going for inspection to avoid vehicles with unsatisfactory inspection results having to be repaired multiple times, creating more congestion, wasting unnecessary time and effort of vehicle owners, affecting other vehicles, and creating more pressure on the traffic police.
Prepare other contents in advance when going for inspection such as: Actively look up vehicle warnings to check the status of fines for handling before going to the inspection center; Prepare the vehicle registration certificate or the receipt to keep the original copy of the valid mortgaged vehicle registration certificate of the credit institution; Information about the login name, access password and address of the electronic information page to manage the journey monitoring device, camera for motor vehicles that are required to install journey monitoring devices, cameras.
Up to now, there have been more than 640 thousand users registered for accounts on the online vehicle inspection appointment booking application of the Vietnam Register called TTDK app.
Of which, more than 666 thousand inspection appointments have been booked by vehicle owners and transport businesses after more than 10 months of implementation.
