TPO - From early morning on January 28 (29th of Lunar New Year), many people in Hanoi flocked to the "rich people's market" (in Hoan Kiem district), spending millions of dong to buy offerings to express their gratitude to their grandparents and ancestors during the traditional Lunar New Year of the nation.

According to the reporter, from early morning of the 29th of Tet, the stalls at Hang Be market were crowded with customers lining up to buy fresh food. The streets in the market were packed with people and vehicles.

Hang Be Market (Hoan Kiem, Hanoi) has been a familiar address to the capital's people from the past until now, famous for its fresh, delicious and sophisticated food, bearing the "unique character" of Hanoi cuisine . Hang Be Market is also famous for its expensive prices, so it is also called the "rich people's market" in the middle of the old quarter.

On the last day of the year, chicken prices here remain the same as usual (250,000 - 270,000 VND/kg).

The market’s signature item during the days leading up to Tet is boiled chicken with a rose in its mouth. A 2kg chicken is sold for 500,000 VND.

From early morning, many people flocked to Hang Be market to buy rose-holding chicken.

For many people, boiled chicken with rose in mouth is an indispensable dish on the Tet offering tray.

Besides chicken with rose in its mouth, roasted bird is also a popular item. Roast bird prices range from 150,000 to 200,000 VND/bird.

The restaurant delivery people are running at full capacity today.

Chicken is prepared continuously by the stores for sale.

Pre-cooked food can also help diversify the year-end meal, so many people buy it. The price of these dishes is quite affordable for consumers, from a few tens of thousands of VND/dish.

Fresh flower prices also increased slightly today, lilies from 250,000 - 350,000 VND/10 branches, dahlias cost 150,000 VND/bunch of 10 flowers, rose clusters cost 140,000 VND/bunch, chrysanthemums cost 60,000 VND/10 flowers.

After shopping, people rush home to celebrate Tet, waiting for the moment when the New Year is about to come.
