Spreading good things to the community of teachers

(NLDO)- Outstanding People's Teachers, Meritorious Teachers, and Exemplary Teachers are the core elements that best promote experience and intelligence, inspire positivity, and spread good things.

On November 17 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Education and Training chaired and coordinated with the Vietnam Education Trade Union to organize the 16th People's Teacher and Meritorious Teacher (NGND, NGUT) title awarding ceremony and honoring outstanding teachers in 2024.

According to the Ministry of Education and Training, in the 16th round of awarding the title of People's Teacher and Meritorious Teacher, the President conferred the title of People's Teacher to 21 teachers and Meritorious Teacher. 1,167 teacher

At the ceremony, authorized by the President, the Ministry of Education and Training organized a ceremony to award the title of People's Teacher to 21 teachers from ministries, branches and localities and awarded the title of Meritorious Teacher to 65 teachers under the Ministry of Education and Training.

In addition to the titles of People's Teacher and Meritorious Teacher, since 2017, the Ministry of Education and Training has organized the selection of "Outstanding Teacher of the Year" to recognize and honor teachers and educational institution managers with outstanding contributions. In 2024, the Council selected 251 Outstanding Teachers. Thus, after 8 selections, the Minister of Education and Training signed a decision to award Certificates of Merit to Outstanding Teachers to 1,851 teachers.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son congratulated 21 People's Teachers, 65 Meritorious Teachers and 251 outstanding teachers representing 1.6 million teachers.

The Minister of Education and Training affirmed that education is a difficult task, true education, education with the right ethics, education aiming at high quality, attracting learners, spreading the spirit of creativity and endless inspiration for learning to learners is even more difficult. To achieve the title of People's Teacher, Meritorious Teacher, and Outstanding Teacher, teachers have been dedicated and loved their profession, have made many contributions, have overcome difficulties and challenges to express themselves and spread good values.

"I hope that teachers will continue to demonstrate their important role, spreading to colleagues, students, and society the spirit of how they have become excellent, contributing to making our industry increasingly have more excellent people and increasing excellence, and more especially, spreading forever" - Minister Nguyen Kim Son expressed.

According to the head of the education sector, in the coming time, there will be many challenges that our sector will have to face to overcome and successfully carry out major tasks. To successfully carry out the major tasks of the sector, it is necessary to be very determined and meet many necessary conditions. In particular, the human factor, typically teachers and education managers, plays a particularly important role.

"The People's Teachers, Meritorious Teachers, and outstanding teachers will be the core to best promote their own experience, intelligence, determination, and creativity, while sharing, spreading, inspiring positivity, and multiplying good things to the teaching community. The titles are a recognition and honor for the past, the depth of performance and contribution of the teachers, and at the same time, the expectations and hopes for the teachers to continue to shine and participate in contributing to the cause of education development" - Minister Nguyen Kim Son emphasized.

Recalling the old saying "Ginger gets spicier with time, teachers get better with age", Minister Nguyen Kim Son hopes that teachers will continue to self-study, self-renew, overcome their own limits to best promote their excellence.

"Teachers are excellent people who need to be the core for solving new and difficult problems. Excellence does not wait to be assigned or requested, but that excellence needs to be demonstrated through the spirit of dedication, responsibility, initiative, and positivity in what has been done, is being done, and needs to be done for the country's education" - the Minister of Education and Training shared.
