Japan and Brazil fail in women's volleyball world cup semi-finals

(Dan Tri) - The world's number one women's team, Italy, beat the world's number two team, Brazil, 3-2. Asia's top hope, Japan, lost to Türkiye 1-3 in the other semi-final match of the world championship in Thailand.

The semi-final match between world number one Italy and world number two Brazil on the evening of September 6 was extremely dramatic. Both sides fought for every point in all 5 rounds.

In the first half, Brazil started better, they led the Italian women's volleyball team, before winning the match by a narrow margin, with a score of 25-22. Brazil temporarily led 1-0.

However, Italy was not a team to give up easily. In the second half, things turned around, the Italian women's volleyball team won 25-22, leveling the score at 1-1.

In the third round, the match was even more dramatic than the first two rounds. The Brazilian female athletes were very resilient in this round, winning a thrilling 30-28, temporarily leading 2-1.

However, in the fourth set, the Italian women's volleyball team once again leveled the score 2-2, winning the fourth set with a score of 25-22.

However, both teams were still full of energy in the 5th and decisive round. In the final round, the players of the world's number one team, Italy, showed more experience, winning 15-13.

In the end, the Italian women's volleyball team beat Brazil 3-2 (22-25, 25-22, 28-30, 25-22 and 15-13). Italy won the right to enter the final.

The Italian women's volleyball team's opponent in the final is Türkiye. The Turkish women's team beat Japan 3-1 (16-25, 25-17, 25-18 and 27-25) in the other semi-final.

The final match between Italy and Türkiye (now ranked 4th in the world) will take place at 7:30 pm tonight (September 7) at Hua Mak Stadium (Bangkok, Thailand). Before that, at 3:30 pm, the two teams Japan and Brazil will play for third place.
