Continue to overcome difficulties in the last months of the year

According to the forecast of the General Statistics Office ( Ministry of Finance ), industrial production will continue to maintain a positive growth trend. The third quarter is the time when businesses accelerate production to meet the consumption needs of large markets. Domestically, factors supporting growth include: Reforming the local government model to help businesses be more flexible; the anti-counterfeit campaign creates a healthy competitive environment; accelerating public investment and attracting foreign direct investment (FDI) to create a boost for many manufacturing industries... In addition, export-serving industries such as electronics, textiles, and footwear still maintain a competitive advantage thanks to the free trade agreements that Vietnam has participated in. Meanwhile, FDI poured into the processing and manufacturing industry - especially electronics and computers - continues to play a role in promoting industrial production.

Despite the positive outlook, according to Head of the Construction Industry Statistics Department (General Statistics Office) Phi Thi Huong Nga, industrial production still faces many difficulties, including fluctuations in global energy prices and US trade policies that can increase input costs and disrupt the supply chain. In addition, the demand for green, clean production and the application of information technology is increasing, requiring large investment capital. This is a significant pressure on businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises.

To complete the city's socio -economic development goals and targets in 2025, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Kieu Oanh said that one of the key tasks that needs to be implemented is to promote industrial production, improve the efficiency and production capacity of enterprises in industrial parks and industrial clusters; attract large industrial investment projects that play an important role in increasing production capacity in the area. Along with that, the city promotes the application of science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, removing bottlenecks in mechanisms and policies and developing the private economy as a driving force for growth.

“The Ministry of Industry and Trade is implementing the Hanoi City Supporting Industry Development Program for the 2020-2025 period; the Project on developing key industrial products for the 2021-2025 period, supporting enterprises producing key industrial products to develop science and technology; implementing the National Industrial Promotion Program, the City Industrial Promotion Program for the 2021-2025 period associated with the development of small-scale industry - craft villages, and economic restructuring in rural areas…”, Ms. Nguyen Kieu Oanh informed.

In addition to the city's efforts to reform administration and create a favorable investment and business environment, the business community has also made efforts to expand markets, seek new orders, find ways to adapt and overcome difficulties. The efforts of the business community and the flexible management of the government have helped Hanoi maintain its growth rate. With the positive recovery momentum of the processing and manufacturing industry, and the effectiveness of support policies and macroeconomic stabilization, the capital's industry is expected to continue to maintain its performance in the last months of 2025.
