Many Vietnamese golfers won technical awards at the Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023 Pro-Am round

The Championship Pro-Am friendly tournament (taking place over 2 days, from November 28-29) is the opening round of Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023, a tournament under the prestigious European Legends Tour system. After the friendly matches, the winners of the awards were revealed, in which many technical awards belonged to Vietnamese golfers.

Over two days, 24 legendary golfers and 72 Vietnamese amateur athletes were divided into 24 teams, each team consisting of 1 professional athlete and 3 amateur athletes.

The tournament is played in a Scramble format with teams of 4 playing stroke play without handicaps over 1 round of 18 holes (for each tournament). The winning team is the team with the lowest total score at the end of the tournament. Each player in the team is required to select a minimum of 3 tee shots in the round of 18 holes.

At the end of the first round, the team championship cup belonged to the team of legend Gary Evens and 3 Vietnamese golfers: Dang Trung Kien, Nguyen Hong Vinh, Nguyen Dang Son. Second prize went to the team of legend Miguel Angel Martin and golfers: Dinh Van Hoa, Man Tan Tinh, Le Van Tien. Third prize went to the team of golfers Lionel Alexander, Dang Thi Ngoc Han, Nguyen Hung Son, Marius Camber.

Notably, 3 out of 4 technical prizes of the first day of the Pro-Am round belonged to Vietnamese golfers with 2 Longest Drive prizes for golfer Vu Nguyen and female golfer Nguyen Gia Bao. The Nearest to the Pin prize on hole 3 belonged to golfer Phan Minh Chinh.

According to the Organizing Committee, Vinpearl DIC Legends Vietnam 2023 is a professional golf tournament within the framework of the Legends Tour, held for the first time in Vietnam. This is not only a playground for golfers with attractive experiences, but also contributes to connecting businesses, partners and the community, contributing to expanding and developing Vietnam's tourism and economic potential on the world map.
