Many people still fall into the trap of 'easy work, high salary' in Cambodia

According to information from Thanh Hoa Provincial Police, recently, the situation of local citizens illegally exiting and working abroad has shown signs of becoming complicated again.

Among the citizens who illegally leave the country to work abroad today, there is a situation of citizens illegally leaving the country and working in Cambodia.

These people basically post job search information on social networks like Telegram, Facebook, Zalo, and Tiktok, and are promised by many different social media accounts that they will help find jobs and arrange "easy jobs with high salaries" with salaries ranging from 800-1,000 USD/month.

These cases were all contacted by social media users, instructed on how to buy plane tickets or take a car from Thanh Hoa to Ho Chi Minh City, then have a car pick them up and take them to Moc Bai (Tay Ninh).

Here, these cases were picked up by the subjects and taken to Cambodia through illegal routes without going through exit procedures. In some cases, they were drugged and taken to Cambodia.

In Cambodia, these cases are basically put to work in casinos or disguised scam centers on social media run by foreign bosses.

Faced with the above situation, Thanh Hoa Provincial Police recommend that people raise their vigilance.

Accordingly, citizens who want to go abroad to work need to carefully research the job being recruited and learn about the company sending people to work abroad. When they need to go abroad, citizens need to contact the competent authorities, reputable travel and labor export companies with international travel licenses, sending workers to work abroad to exit the country legally; absolutely do not listen to and follow the instructions of brokers and organizations sending people to go abroad and work illegally.

Citizens need to be vigilant, grasp and identify the methods and tricks of the subjects in the network of organizing illegal exit, migration, human trafficking and the consequences and implications of exit, illegal residence and illegal work abroad, and not let bad subjects lure and entice them.

Citizens need to be vigilant when communicating with strangers on social networks, absolutely do not share personal information, and follow instructions without determining the identity and background of that person.

People should promptly report and denounce subjects who organize illegal sending of people abroad to the authorities for prevention, investigation and handling according to the provisions of law.
