TPO - Binh Duong province decided to spend more than 1,000 billion VND to build an underpass at the Phuoc Kien intersection, and this is the first underpass project built by the province on National Highway 13.

On June 19, Tien Phong reporter recorded that the construction unit of the underpass construction area at Phuoc Kien 5-way intersection (Hiep Thanh ward, Thu Dau Mot city, Binh Duong province) had completed the survey drilling work.

The construction of the underpass at the Phuoc Kien 5-way intersection is a traffic-road tunnel project, a level II project. The project was invested in and built to resolve traffic congestion, ensure traffic safety for vehicles traveling through the Phuoc Kien 5-way intersection; and improve the traffic capacity of National Highway 13; Pham Ngoc Thach; Huynh Van Cu; Nguyen Van Tiet at the intersection area.

The project has a reinforced concrete tunnel scale, design life of 100 years; tunnel design clearance of 5m; tunnel design speed, access roads on both sides of the tunnel 40km/h.

The underpass runs from Huynh Van Cu Street to Pham Ngoc Thach Street. The approach road to both ends of the tunnel is about 229.60m; the total length of the route is about 629.96m.

The project to build an underpass at the Phuoc Kien intersection has a total investment of 1,050 billion VND according to the project approval decision. In 2024, the project has a planned capital of 34.4 billion VND.

Regarding site clearance, up to now, the People's Committee of Thu Dau Mot City has approved the land compensation unit price and approved the plan and cost estimate for the first phase of compensation and support with an amount of 130.3 billion VND/122 records. The locality has paid compensation with an amount of 90.1 billion VND (77 records)/130.3 billion VND (122 records), reaching 69.2%.

Up to now, the project has recovered 100% of the land, the Thu Dau Mot City Land Fund Development Center has handed over 0.031/0.63 ha, reaching 4.9%. Currently, the design consulting unit is conducting a survey and preparing construction drawings and estimates.
