Completing the "dual mission" for the 2021-2025 period
Budget revenue is always a key indicator in socio-economic development. Closing the 2021-2025 period, the Gia Lai Tax sector has completed the "dual task": both exceeding the target and effectively implementing policies to support people and businesses.

Specifically, the total domestic state budget revenue is estimated at 102,652 billion VND, with an average growth rate of 7.3%/year, exceeding 25.6% compared to the Central Government's estimate and exceeding 12.2% compared to the Provincial People's Council's estimate. Notably, all localities in the province have completed their estimates, contributing to ensuring regular expenditure sources and development tasks.
Mr. Le Minh Nhut - Head of Gia Lai Provincial Tax Department said that the sector carried out its tasks in the context of the COVID-19 outbreak in the period of 2020-2022, the supply chain was broken, the export market narrowed, causing many businesses to face difficulties. However, with the strong direction of the National Assembly, the Government, the Ministry of Finance and the province, the sector promptly implemented many policies to exempt, reduce, and extend taxes, fees, and land rents to support people and businesses.
In the 2020-2024 period, the total amount of taxes, fees, and land rents reduced and extended in the area reached 9,934 billion VND. Outstanding policies such as extension of payment of value added tax, corporate income tax, and personal income tax; 30% reduction in annual land rent; 50% reduction in registration fees for domestically produced and assembled cars; reduction of value added tax rate from 10% to 8% for some industries; reduction of environmental protection tax on gasoline... have been effective, helping businesses restore production, people stabilize their lives, thereby nurturing a sustainable source of budget revenue.
According to Mr. Tran Van Thinh - General Director of Toyota Gia Lai, the policy of reducing environmental protection tax on gasoline has directly reduced input costs, contributed to price stabilization, and created conditions for businesses and people to recover the economy. Similarly, Mr. Nguyen Van Quynh - General Director of Honda Auto Gia Lai, said that the policy of reducing car registration fees has boosted purchasing power, helping businesses maintain operations, people save costs, and the state budget still ensures revenue.
Focus for the 2025-2030 period: Digital transformation and administrative reform
Entering a new phase, the Gia Lai Tax sector focuses on strategic solution groups, in which comprehensive digital transformation is key. Tax management, declaration, payment and refund will be electronically implemented, expanding connectivity with the banking, customs and treasury systems to create maximum convenience for taxpayers, reduce compliance time and costs. At the same time, the whole sector promotes administrative procedure reform, commits to transparency, shortens file processing time, strengthens process control and improves satisfaction of people and businesses.
Gia Lai Tax Department also determined to innovate management thinking towards serving and accompanying businesses and people. Propaganda and support work will be focused on forming a culture of voluntary and sustainable tax compliance. Mr. Le Minh Nhut emphasized: "We are determined to achieve the goal of digital transformation associated with transforming management thinking, taking taxpayer satisfaction as a measure. This is the driving force to promote investment and production, thereby increasing stable and sustainable revenue for the state budget."
With the determination to innovate, Gia Lai Tax Department continues to affirm its role as a "trusted companion" of businesses and people, actively contributing to the province's sustainable socio-economic development goals in the period 2025-2030.
