The act of using a hunting gun to shoot and kill two goats belonging to the people, then putting them in the trunk of a car by three officers and soldiers of Dai Nghia Town Police (in My Duc District, Hanoi City) not only violates ethics, lifestyle, and regulations of the industry but also shows signs of criminal offense. More sadly, the actions of the three individuals above have caused people to lose trust, and have damaged the reputation and good image of the People's Police.

The incident in which three officers and soldiers of the Dai Nghia town police, My Duc district, Hanoi, namely Nguyen Van Nhan, Bui Dinh Viet and Bui Tien Tung, used hunting guns to shoot and kill two goats belonging to local people on June 26 in the Mao Ga mountain area (in Ai Nang village, An Phu commune, My Duc district) and then put them in the trunk of a car and took them away, made the local people very angry.

Although upon receiving information about the incident, the leaders of Hanoi City Police quickly stripped the military rank, directed the authorities to prosecute the case of "Theft of property" and temporarily detained the 3 officers for investigation. However, public opinion and the community are still extremely indignant, even angry at the behavior of the 3 individuals above.

The use of a gun during working hours, shooting dead a local goat and then putting it in the trunk of a car by the three police officers mentioned above may have been impulsive, but the damage and consequences caused were very serious.

In particular, the above behavior not only tarnishes the image and reputation of the People's Public Security force but also seriously violates the first of the six things Uncle Ho taught the People's Public Security, which is "For ourselves, we must be diligent, frugal, honest, and upright."

Therefore, anyone, regardless of their position, who commits the crime of embezzlement or theft, even if it is very small, will cause extremely harmful consequences in many aspects.

The actions of the three officers and soldiers of Dai Nghia town police mentioned above are not only mistakes, violations of ethics, lifestyle, and regulations of the industry, but also show signs of criminal offenses.

Whatever the justification or reason, the actions of the three individuals above have caused people to lose trust in those who are working day and night to protect the peace of life, and have damaged the reputation and good image of the revolutionary police.

In practice, in recent times, there have been many officers, soldiers, and even leaders in the Public Security sector who have committed negative acts and violated the law to the extent that they must be criminally prosecuted. Therefore, after the above very disturbing incident in My Duc district, it is required that the competent authorities of Hanoi urgently investigate and clarify, and severely punish the individuals and groups involved to deter and set an example.

Furthermore, this is also a profound lesson for every officer and soldier of the People's Public Security, requiring them to always be exemplary in strictly abiding by the law, being strict with themselves, resolutely fighting against all bad habits and vices to enforce and protect the law, serve the country and the people.
