With the support of the province, many OCOP products of localities participate in the Week of Introducing Safe Agricultural Products and OCOP Products of Ninh Binh Province in 2025.

Mr. Bui Van Chinh, Deputy Director of Minh Hang Production, Trade and Transport Company Limited, Quang Trung Industrial Cluster, Hien Khanh Commune said: In 2020, with the support and facilitation of Party committees and authorities at all levels, and the guidance of consulting units, the Company has built a brand and been recognized by the Provincial People's Committee for the product S24 Fresh Lemon Honey Tea meeting the 4-star OCOP product standards.

To ensure product quality, the Company has signed contracts to purchase all input materials such as green tea from production units in Vu Ban commune, green squash in Nam Truc commune and lemons in Son La province. On average, each month, the Company consumes 15-20 tons of raw materials, producing over 20,000 products. With production development, the Company creates stable jobs for 15 workers with an income of 8-9 million VND/person/month.

Mr. Bui Van Chinh added: The company is regularly assisted by functional units of the province and commune to improve product quality, and at the same time, supports and displays products at the Clean Agricultural Products Introduction Center of Khanh Hung Cooperative Union and participates in promoting, introducing and consuming products at the OCOP product trade fair of the province and city, so the market for the company's products is increasingly expanding.

The Company's OCOP products of fresh honey tea, winter melon tea, and passion fruit juice are chosen by many prestigious enterprises such as Samsung Electronic Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Bac Ninh and Thai Nguyen provinces; LG Display Vietnam Co., Ltd. in Hai Phong... for workers to use. In the coming time, the Company will continue to focus on investing in technology, coordinating with units to ensure the quality of input materials to improve the quality of OCOP products...

Not only Minh Hang Production, Trade and Transport Company Limited but also OCOP product owners in the province have received support and guidance from functional departments and branches in the process of building and developing products. After more than 6 years of implementing the OCOP Program, with the participation of all levels, branches, units and localities; the consensus of the owners, up to now, Ninh Binh province has 980 OCOP products with 3 stars or more belonging to 516 owners. Of which, 3 products have 5 stars, 153 products have 4 stars and 824 products have 3 stars.

Classified by product group, there are 780 products in the food group (accounting for 79.6%); 91 products in the beverage group (accounting for 9.3%); 67 products in the handicraft group (accounting for 6.8%); 25 herbal, medicinal and cosmetic products (accounting for 2.6%); 11 ornamental products (accounting for 1.1%) and 6 rural tourism products (accounting for 0.6%).

Classified by subject, there are 139 enterprises, 129 cooperatives and cooperative groups, and 248 business households. Classified by area, there are 121 communes and wards with OCOP products; currently, there are 8 communes and wards without OCOP products, including: Binh Son, Thanh Son, Vinh Tru, Nam Dong, Kim Bang, Dong Van, Le Ho, and Nguyen Uy.

From now until the end of 2025, Ninh Binh province strives to have 1 to 2 OCOP products that are qualified to submit to the Central Government for consideration and recognition as 5-star products. Potential products that are being reviewed and considered are: Bodhi Painting, Bo Bat Pottery, Golden Flower Tea, Ninh Binh Crispy Rice and Ha Nam Embroidered Towels. At the same time, continue to review and submit to the Provincial OCOP Product Evaluation and Classification Council for new recognition and re-recognition of OCOP products in 2025.

To complete the set goals, the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the Provincial New Rural Area Coordination Office will focus on advising the Provincial People's Committee to issue common and unified mechanisms and policies to implement the OCOP Program across the province after the merger, ensuring consistency and efficiency. Continue to provide consulting support and guidance to entities to complete documents, packaging, labels, and traceability.

Strengthening information and propaganda work on the OCOP Program to businesses, cooperatives, business households and people in the area to spread the meaning, attract participation and arouse the potential and advantages of the locality, develop products associated with stable production material areas; connect OCOP products with tourism development, contribute to positioning destinations, increase experiences for tourists, at the same time promote, promote consumption, increase value for OCOP products, promote economic development in rural areas.

Encourage the development of OCOP products in the form of souvenirs, gifts, and lean processed products to serve tourists. Connect the consumption of OCOP products at sightseeing and experience spots and traditional craft villages, ecological models in localities to increase value and expand the consumption market. Enhance digital transformation for OCOP entities through organizing conferences, seminars, training courses, instructions on how to use booths on e-commerce platforms, digital platforms, social networks, and use of product QR-Codes. Support the design and improvement of packaging in a modern, environmentally friendly direction.

Coordinate with relevant departments, branches and units to strengthen the inspection and supervision of enterprises and production facilities to print and use the OCOP trademark correctly on packaging and product labels in a unified manner and enhance brand recognition; guide facilities to apply information technology and use QR-Code to trace the origin of OCOP products. Create favorable conditions to support and guide OCOP product owners to participate in displaying, introducing and selling products at fairs and exhibitions in and outside the province, and at the same time connect with modern distribution systems and online sales channels.

Comrade Le Hong Duc, Chief of the Office of New Rural Development Coordination of Ninh Binh province, said: The Office will actively coordinate with functional units to review, synthesize, and digitize 980 OCOP products of the province to create a basis for planning policies to support the maintenance, development, and upgrading of products, meeting the increasingly high demands of the market, while creating local resources for localities to implement the program of building new rural areas in the new situation.

Strengthen communication and promotion on digital platforms and various types of press; organize fairs and OCOP events; provide training to improve the capacity of staff at all levels and entities on product development processes, brands, quality standards, market access, etc.

Advise the Department of Agriculture and Environment to regularly direct the inspection and supervision of the quality of recognized OCOP products; coordinate with specialized agencies and commune-level authorities to advise on the mechanism for handling and publicizing information on substandard products in accordance with regulations; organize the summary and evaluation of the results of the implementation of the OCOP Program for the period 2021-2025, and develop an implementation plan for the period 2026-2030.

With policies and solutions to support development entities, improve product quality and production capacity, gradually approach the market associated with the value chain, aiming to build unique OCOP products, the province's OCOP Program will continue to have new developments and increase sustainable value in rural economic development.
