On September 27, the Traffic Police Department of Hue City Police said that the authorities had just discovered a tractor-trailer transporting about 30 tons of food of unknown origin, not ensuring food hygiene and safety conditions.

Specifically, while performing the task of checking the load at Km 792, National Highway 1A (in Phong Dien ward, Hue city), the working group of the Traffic Police Department, Hue City Police discovered a tractor with license plate 38H-032.45 pulling a trailer 50RM-070.91 with signs of violation.

Through inspection, the authorities determined that this vehicle was carrying goods exceeding the design load by 10% to 30% and exceeding the allowable axle load of the bridge and road by 27.92%.

At the time of inspection, the vehicle was transporting about 30 tons of animal products including pork, goat meat, chicken feet... but had no quarantine certificate or food safety certificate, nor any invoices or documents proving the origin.

Police work with car owner

The working group has drawn up a record and handed over all the vehicles and goods mentioned above to the Economic Police Department, Hue City Police for further investigation and handling according to authority.
