Storm No. 10: North-South Expressway closed from 11pm tonight

On the evening of September 28, the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security issued an urgent notice about the closure of the North-South Expressway to ensure the safety of people's lives and property during the time when storm No. 10 (storm Bualoi) makes landfall in the Nghe An and Ha Tinh areas.

Accordingly, the Traffic Police Department will organize a ban from Nghi Son intersection (Thanh Hoa) Km380 to Vung Ang intersection ( Ha Tinh ) Km568+500 from 11pm on September 28 to 4am on September 29.

The Traffic Police Department recommends that drivers take the initiative in their journey, exit the highway and find safe shelter, and continue driving after the storm has passed.

In case of an accident, drivers should call the Traffic Police Department's number 19008099 for timely guidance and support.

People are not allowed to go out when the storm hits.

On September 28, the People's Committee of Nghe An province also issued an urgent document on temporary road closures to prevent and combat storm No. 10.

In the document, the People's Committee of Nghe An province requested the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Provincial Police, the Department of Agriculture and Environment and the People's Committees of communes and wards to determine the key routes, directly affected by storm No. 10, the time the storm passes through the area to organize traffic, temporarily ban vehicles to ensure the safety of people's lives and health.

For landslide and flooded roads, especially in mountainous areas, Nghe An Provincial People's Committee requested local authorities to organize warnings and send forces to prohibit people and vehicles from passing.

It is expected that from 11pm on September 28 to 4am on September 29, the storm will make landfall. The People's Committee of Nghe An province requests that people who do not have duties should not go out in order to ensure safety of life and health.

Nghe An Provincial People's Committee assigned the Provincial Police to preside over and coordinate with relevant units to deploy a temporary road closure plan, ensure traffic order and safety, and strictly handle individuals who deliberately do not comply.
