On the afternoon of May 22, at the 5th session of the 15th National Assembly, with 468/469 votes in favor (equal to 94.74% of the total number of National Assembly deputies), the National Assembly passed the Resolution to elect Mr. Le Quang Manh, Member of the 13th Party Central Committee, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the 15th National Assembly Delegation of Can Tho City, to hold the position of Member of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee.

Before voting to pass the Resolution, the National Assembly Standing Committee presented a document introducing Mr. Le Quang Manh, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Can Tho City Party Committee, for the National Assembly to consider electing him to hold the position of member of the National Assembly Standing Committee and Chairman of the National Assembly's Finance and Budget Committee.
