Mr. Mai Le Loi was appointed as Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines.

Attending the event were Mr. Nguyen Canh Tinh - Party Secretary, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Vietnam National Shipping Lines; Le Anh Son - Deputy Party Secretary, General Director of VIMC; Doan Thi Thu Huong - Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of VIMC.

Decision No. 106/QD-TLĐ of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor signed by President Nguyen Dinh Khang clearly states: Appointing Mr. Mai Le Loi - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union, Chairman of the Board of Directors, Secretary of the Party Cell of VIMC Logistics Joint Stock Company to join the Standing Committee and hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union for the 6th term, 2023 - 2028.

Presenting the Decision and congratulating Mr. Mai Le Loi on being entrusted with the important responsibility, President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang requested the new President of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union to maximize his capacity, intelligence and strengths; always cultivate, improve, learn, constantly strive, overcome difficulties, overcome challenges, and excellently complete the tasks assigned by the General Confederation, the Party Committee of VIMC and union members and workers.

Speaking at the Decision awarding ceremony, Mr. Mai Le Loi affirmed: “In the new position, all my experiences will help me to combine the practice of business administration with the way of organizing and implementing the labor movement and trade union activities to promptly and properly meet the aspirations of union members and workers and successfully perform the functions of the Trade Union organization in the new situation…”.

The new Chairman of the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines also respectfully thanked the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the Party Committee of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, and the Executive Board of the Trade Union of the Corporation for their trust and assignment of new tasks and responsibilities. At the same time, he expressed his wish to receive solidarity, unity, and support from the Executive Board, the Standing Committee, and the Trade Union of the Corporation so that he could successfully complete the assigned tasks, take the best care of union members and workers, and build the Trade Union of Vietnam National Shipping Lines increasingly stronger, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam National Shipping Lines and the Vietnam Trade Union organization.

Mr. Mai Le Loi - Member of the Party Executive Committee of Vietnam National Shipping Lines, Chairman of the Board of Directors of VIMC Logistics Joint Stock Company - a maritime service enterprise under the Corporation, is a well-trained officer with a doctorate in Logistics, has many years of experience in the maritime industry, has held many positions; has many outstanding achievements in management and business operations at VIMC.

In the Union activities, Mr. Mai Le Loi had two terms as a member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam National Shipping Lines Trade Union, having a deep understanding of union members, workers and the labor movement, and the Union activities of the Corporation. In any position, he has constantly made efforts, improved, strived and completed well the assigned tasks.
