Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung was appointed to continue holding the position of Secretary of Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee.

The Politburo appointed Mr. Nguyen Dinh Trung, Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee for the 2020-2025 term, to hold the position of Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

On the morning of September 29, the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee opened its first Congress for the 2025-2030 term with the participation of 449 official delegates, representing more than 137,000 party members in the entire Party Committee.

This is the first Congress after the merger of the two old provinces of Dak Lak and Phu Yen , with the motto of action "Solidarity-Democracy-Discipline-Breakthrough-Development," demonstrating the will, belief and aspirations of more than 3.2 million ethnic people in Dak Lak province.

Comrade Nguyen Van Nen, Politburo member, Standing member of the Party's XIV National Congress Document Subcommittee, attended and directed the Congress; also attending the Congress were Party Central Committee members: Pham Dai Duong, Deputy Head of the Central Policy and Strategy Committee; Ngo Trung Hai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee; Nghiem Xuan Thanh, Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee; representatives of central departments, ministries, branches, Military Region 5 and representatives of Gia Lai and Lam Dong provinces; former leaders of Dak Lak and Phu Yen provinces through the periods.

At the opening session, the Provincial Party Committee's Organizing Committee announced the Politburo's decisions appointing the Party Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Secretary, Deputy Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

The Dak Lak Provincial Party Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term consists of 62 comrades and the Dak Lak Provincial Party Standing Committee has 21 comrades. Comrade Nguyen Dinh Trung was appointed by the Politburo to continue holding the position of Dak Lak Provincial Party Secretary.

The Politburo also appointed comrades Cao Thi Hoa An, Ta Anh Tuan, Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Do Huu Huy and Y Giang Gry Nie Knong as Deputy Secretaries of the Provincial Party Committee; comrade Tran Trung Hien was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee.

Speaking at the Congress, comrade Nguyen Van Nen acknowledged, highly appreciated and congratulated the important achievements that the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in Dak Lak province have achieved in the 2020-2025 term; at the same time, he said that Dak Lak has many outstanding potentials: fertile land, deep-water seaport, long coastline, open economic space and strategic position in terms of national defense and security.

To fully exploit this strength, the province must urgently complete the development planning in the direction of multi-center, multi-polarity; strengthen connections with the Central and Southeastern localities and countries in the Mekong sub-region.

Comrade Nguyen Van Nen hopes that the province will become a bright spot in the region when it knows how to exploit its unique advantages of forests and seas. The province needs to promote the development of forestry, medicinal herbs, eco-tourism and high-value wood products; focus on developing modern industrial-scale aquaculture, seaport services and logistics, towards forming an advanced fishing center of the country.

Not only focusing on economic development, comrade Nguyen Van Nen noted that Dak Lak must identify the stability and development of ethnic minority areas as the most important factor and the basis for building and consolidating the great national unity bloc; have correct viewpoints, guidelines, policies and solutions to invest in production development, improve people's lives; mobilize maximum resources to reorganize production, develop non-agricultural industries in villages; prioritize adequate budget resources to solve housing land, production land, strive to sustainably eliminate poverty for all poor households in ethnic minorities on the spot.

Dak Lak Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Dinh Trung affirmed that in the 2020-2025 term, the Party Committee, government and people of all ethnic groups in the province have made efforts to overcome difficulties, basically completed key tasks, and achieved important achievements. In particular, the province has completed the arrangement and consolidation of administrative units at all levels, officially operating the 2-level local government model from July 1, 2025, marking a breakthrough in organizational structure, shifting from passive management to proactive service to the people.

These achievements are the crystallization of the intelligence, efforts, solidarity, consensus and determination of the entire Party, people and army, demonstrating firm belief in the Party's leadership and at the same time being an important foundation for the province's strong development in the next period.

In the context of many difficulties and challenges, the Party Committee, government and people of the two former provinces of Dak Lak and Phu Yen have been maximizing their internal strength; proactively and flexibly mobilizing and taking advantage of all resources for socio-economic development, consolidating national defense and security, expanding foreign relations, and building the homeland to achieve many important achievements in all fields. The Congress is a historical milestone, affirming the determination and aspiration to build Dak Lak province to develop rapidly, sustainably, civilizedly and with identity.

The political report of Dak Lak province presented at the Congress showed that the province's economy maintained a fairly good growth rate; the average GRDP growth reached about 6.24%/year; the total GRDP in 5 years reached more than 900 trillion VND, an average increase of 11.8%/year. The economic structure has shifted positively. Investment in transport infrastructure has been focused. The road traffic network has been invested in quite synchronously, connecting smoothly. The service, trade and tourism sectors have developed quite well. Science, technology and digital transformation have changed positively. Digital transformation has been promoted synchronously on three pillars: building digital government, promoting digital economy and digital society.

Foreign economic relations and regional linkages are actively and proactively implemented; investment cooperation with new partners is expanded, and effective cooperation at the local level is maintained. Planning and development of economic space is focused on, creating a legal corridor to more effectively exploit the potential and comparative advantages of the locality.

Management, use of resources, environmental protection, and response to climate change have been strengthened and changed positively. The province has synchronously deployed land use planning and plans for the 2021-2030 period; synchronously implemented solutions to prevent and combat natural disasters, respond to climate change, and protect the environment.

The results of administrative reform have been improved year by year, focusing on perfecting mechanisms and removing legal obstacles. The one-stop shop and inter-connected one-stop shop mechanisms have been implemented synchronously, with 100% of administrative procedures eligible for online public services./.
