The National Assembly of Vietnam and Cuba cooperate to promote bilateral relations in many fields.

On the morning of October 1, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and Cuban National Assembly Chairman Esteban Lazo Hernández co-chaired the second meeting of the Vietnam-Cuba Inter-Parliamentary Cooperation Committee.

The two National Assembly Chairmen affirmed to continue to strengthen close cooperation on the parliamentary channel at the bilateral level as well as at international and regional inter-parliamentary forums. They agreed to increase consultation on law-making, facilitate the implementation of commitments, coordinate to perfect specific mechanisms, and promote Vietnamese enterprises to expand investment in Cuba.

Continue to promote cooperation between localities to exchange experiences and support each other in socio -economic development. The two sides also listened to representatives of the two National Assembly agencies, Ministries and Sub-committees of the Vietnam - Cuba Intergovernmental Committee report on the cooperation situation, propose measures and recommend amendments and supplements to policies and laws to remove obstacles and improve the effectiveness of cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of agriculture, health care and biotechnology.

The President of the Cuban National Assembly expressed his gratitude and affirmed that Vietnam's invaluable support and assistance is of great significance, helping Cuba stabilize and develop.
