Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung was appointed to the position of Deputy Director of the Customs Department.

On October 15, authorized by the Ministry of Finance , the Customs Department held a ceremony to announce the Decision on the transfer and appointment of the Deputy Director of the Customs Department. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung, Deputy Director of the Department of Tax, Fee and Charge Policy Management and Supervision, was transferred and appointed to hold the position of Deputy Director of the Customs Department from October 15.

On behalf of the Minister of Finance, Director of the Customs Department Nguyen Van Tho presented the Decision, pinned the badge and congratulated Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung.

Director Nguyen Van Tho expressed his hope that Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung and the department's leadership will promote tradition, solidarity, innovation, and make the Customs sector develop strongly.

Director Nguyen Van Tho emphasized that in the context of the country's development and deep integration, the customs sector needs to continue to innovate and modernize, ensuring the leadership of the Party and the management of the State; complying with the law; in line with the socio-economic development orientation and international commitments. Customs must both facilitate trade and prevent smuggling and trade fraud, contributing to improving national competitiveness.

In addition, Mr. Nguyen Van Tho suggested that the Customs Department focus on building solidarity, maintaining discipline and order; enhancing the sense of responsibility, preventing corruption and waste; promoting customs modernization, moving towards a digital customs model, smart customs; effectively implementing the Politburo 's resolutions on science and technology, international integration, law and private economic development.

At the same time, it is necessary to improve the quality of service to people and businesses; facilitate trade, ensure national security and sovereignty; develop staff, streamline the apparatus, improve effectiveness and efficiency of operations; promote reform and application of information technology in all areas of customs management.

In his acceptance speech, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hung expressed that he will strive even harder, promote the unit's traditions, be dedicated to his work, join hands and unite with the unit's leadership, civil servants and employees to excellently complete the assigned tasks.

The new Deputy Director of the Customs Department also hopes to continue to receive the attention, leadership, direction and facilitation of the Ministry of Finance's leadership, the Customs Department's leadership, and the consensus and solidarity of the collectives, units and individuals of the Customs Department in his new position./.
