Nguyen Thanh Tu, Director of the Department of Civil and Economic Law, has just been appointed by the Prime Minister to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Justice.

On March 16, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh signed a decision to appoint Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu, Director of the Department of Civil and Economic Law, Ministry of Justice , as Deputy Minister of this Ministry.

The appointment term is 5 years, the decision takes effect from the date of signing.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tu was born in 1978, from Quang Binh ; has a PhD in Law, Bachelor of Economics, and Senior in Politics. He was a staff member of Ho Chi Minh City University of Law. He has worked at the Ministry of Justice since 2011, holding the position of Deputy Director of the Department of International Law.

Mr. Tu was transferred to the Department of Civil and Economic Law in September 2015, holding the positions of Deputy Director, Acting Director, and then Director. He was then appointed Deputy Minister of Justice.

Currently, the leadership of the Ministry of Justice includes: Minister Nguyen Hai Ninh and 5 Deputy Ministers: Dang Hoang Oanh, Nguyen Thanh Tinh, Mai Luong Khoi, Nguyen Thanh Ngoc, Nguyen Thanh Tu.
