PC Hue handed over 5 gratitude houses to poor households

HNN.VN - On September 16, Hue Electricity Company (PC Hue) coordinated with local authorities to organize a handover ceremony of a house of gratitude to Mr. Nguyen Huu Thanh Long (at 25 Nguyen Cu Trinh, Phu Xuan Ward). This is the 5th and last house in the program to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for families in Hue City in 2025 by PC Hue in response to the Prime Minister's call to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households.

According to the plan, in 2025, with the allocated funds from Vietnam Electricity Corporation, PC Hue will support the construction of 5 gratitude houses, each worth 70 million VND. The beneficiaries are poor and near-poor households, families with revolutionary contributions or those in especially difficult circumstances, such as people with disabilities, those with lost labor capacity, and those without stable jobs.

With the above policy, from the beginning of the year, PC Hue has coordinated with local authorities to survey and select the right subjects for support, including the households of Mr. and Mrs. Nguyen Huu Thanh Long (Phu Xuan Ward); Tran Thi Him (Hoa Chau Ward); Le Thi Cu (Phong Thai Ward); Do Thi Ly (Thanh Thuy Ward); Vo Van Dung (Vy Da Ward).

Up to now, the houses under the support program of PC Hue have been completed and handed over on schedule, ensuring quality, meeting the basic living needs of households. Of which, the first 4 houses were completed and handed over in May, June and July.

At the handover ceremonies of the charity houses, Mr. Tran Van Minh, Chairman of the PC Hue Trade Union, representing PC Hue, sent his congratulations to the households and presented each household with a practical gift of a fan or gas stove. Mr. Minh also thanked the local government for accompanying and creating conditions for PC Hue to effectively implement social security activities, contributing to improving the lives of the people, especially the disadvantaged households.

Representatives of local authorities and supported households expressed their gratitude to Vietnam Electricity Corporation and PC Hue for their concern, sharing, and practical support for people with difficult housing circumstances. At the same time, they hoped that the electricity sector would continue to accompany and help other near-poor and poor households in the area in the coming time.
