Petrovietnam continues to be in the Top of the largest enterprises in Vietnam in 2024

Vietnam Report Joint Stock Company (Vietnam Report) has just announced the VNR500 Ranking - Top 500 Largest Enterprises in Vietnam in 2024. Vietnam Oil and Gas Group ( Petrovietnam ) ranked 2nd in the Ranking. In addition, many other Oil and Gas enterprises are also in the Top of the largest enterprises in Vietnam in 2024.

Petrovietnam holds 2nd position in Top 10 VNR500 in 2024

With the 2nd position in VNR500 2024, Petrovietnam recorded its 16th consecutive year in the Top 3 of the Ranking. In VNR500 2024, many other Oil and Gas companies continued to rank high: Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company - BSR (ranked 9th); Vietnam Oil Corporation - PVOIL (ranked 14th); Vietnam Gas Corporation - PV GAS (ranked 17th); Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Corporation - PVEP (ranked 37th); PetroVietnam Power Corporation - PV Power (ranked 56th); PetroVietnam Technical Services Joint Stock Corporation - PTSC (ranked 75th); Vietnam Public Joint Stock Commercial Bank (ranked 77th); PetroVietnam General Services Joint Stock Corporation - PETROSETCO (ranked 100th).

Many Oil and Gas enterprises are among the Top largest enterprises in Vietnam.

The VNR500 ranking has entered its 18th year on the journey of searching, recognizing and honoring the worthy achievements of large-scale enterprises, maintaining effective and stable production and business activities, enterprises that have shown resilience, overcoming unexpected waves of fluctuations from the international context, contributing to bringing the economy back to the growth trajectory.

According to the survey results of Vietnam Report, the rate of enterprises recording an increase in revenue, profit and number of orders has improved significantly compared to the survey results recorded in the previous year. The change in the profit of enterprises is not only due to the increase in revenue but also due to the decrease in total costs. Moreover, the rate of enterprises with a significant increase in revenue and profit accounts for 7.7% and 10.5% respectively, much higher than the level of less than 5% of the previous year.

The survey results of Vietnam Report also pointed out the top 3 industries with the greatest growth potential in the next 12 months from the perspective of VNR500 enterprises. First is the information technology/telecommunications industry with 64.7% of enterprises voting according to the survey of Vietnam Report. Second, the Transportation/Logistics industry, this is an important part of the supply chain and is closely linked to production and business activities. The economic recovery context will be an important condition for Transportation/Logistics to grow, with 41.2% of enterprises voting. Third, the Electricity/Energy industry, this is an industry that plays an essential role, providing operational resources for the economy. With rapidly increasing energy demand, this industry is ranked third in the growth potential in the next 12 months.

2024 marks an important milestone, a year in which businesses stand firm and adapt after a difficult period, achieving encouraging results and contributing to promoting economic recovery. Perseverance and innovation in business activities not only help businesses complete their plans but also make practical contributions to the effort to bring the economy to an expected annual growth rate of 7% or more.
