PetroVietnam and Viettel strengthen cooperation

The Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) recently had a working session with the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group ( PetroVietnam ) on cooperation in the field of digital transformation and offshore wind power deployment (ĐGNK).

In the past time, the two sides have actively coordinated to implement each item of the Cooperation Agreement for the period 2019-2020 and the Cooperation Plan for the period 2021-2023, initially achieving positive results in digital transformation such as: Building and completing the draft strategy for applying information technology for PetroVietnam for the period 2020-2023 and vision to 2030; Surveying, evaluating, developing plans, determining the scope and roadmap for implementing the construction of a database for searching, exploring and exploiting oil and gas; Step by step deploying information technology applications to serve administrative activities at the Group's agencies...

Through the working session, leaders of the two sides agreed on issues in implementing the GNK and digital transformation, promoting each side's strengths, promoting cooperation and sharing, and setting specific goals in the coming time.

After 30 years of establishment and development, Viettel has now become the largest telecommunications industry and technology brand in Vietnam. Currently, Viettel is a pioneering enterprise that has been taking specific actions in each goal and making important contributions to the national digital transformation strategy.

With 62 years of establishment and development, PetroVietnam has always been closely linked to the socio-economic development strategy, national energy strategy, and Vietnam's marine strategy to ensure energy security and protect the sovereignty of the Fatherland.

In the field of developing GHGs, PetroVietnam and its member units have many strengths to speed up the project implementation process, effectively utilizing available resources in terms of facilities and specialized personnel to design and manufacture components and equipment for the oil and gas industry, which can be used for GHGs.
