Striving to make Quang Tri become the leading green heritage and adventure tourism center in Southeast Asia

QTO - On September 27, the Quang Tri Tourism Association held its first congress for the 2025-2030 term. Attending the congress were Mr. Hoang Xuan Tan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of the Vietnam Tourism Association, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism (DOCST), departments, branches and nearly 260 delegates representing tourism businesses in the province. Mr. Ho An Phong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism, sent a congratulatory flower basket to the congress.

Along with the important results of the term, since the beginning of the year, Quang Tri tourism has achieved many outstanding achievements. The province has welcomed more than 8.4 million visitors (up 17.7% compared to the same 9 months), including more than 376 thousand international visitors (up 34.8% compared to the same 9 months); social tourism revenue reached more than 9.67 million (up 35% compared to the same period). It is expected that the whole year of 2025 will reach 9.5 million visitors. The province has also attracted large corporations such as Vingroup, Sun Group , Tan Hoang Minh, T&T, DIC... with many strategic projects, promising to create a new look for Quang Tri tourism.

Delegates presented many papers on the role of digital transformation, communication, marketing in tourism; building new products, linking routes and connecting in new tourism spaces; on developing sustainable community tourism... In the 2025-2030 term, the Association will continue to accompany businesses in product innovation, diversifying experiences; strengthening regional linkages, international integration, promoting promotion in potential markets; promoting digital transformation; developing financial resources; accompanying and removing difficulties for businesses; organizing forums, seminars, promoting supply-demand connections... Vision to 2030, striving to make Quang Tri become the leading green heritage and adventure tourism center in Southeast Asia, aiming for the target of 15 million tourists/year by 2030, contributing 10% of the province's GRDP.

Speaking at the congress, representatives of the Provincial People's Committee and the Vietnam Tourism Association acknowledged and highly appreciated the role and positive contributions of the Association to the province's tourism. Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Xuan Tan hopes that in the new term, the Association will truly be a "common home" for its members; continuing to make many positive contributions to tourism development in particular and the province's socio-economic development in general.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term, consisting of 37 members. Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director of Phuong Bac Urban Development Joint Stock Company, was elected as Chairman of the Quang Tri Provincial Tourism Association for the 2025-2030 term, along with 8 Vice Chairmen.
