In order to create opportunities for children to participate in the Mid-Autumn Festival, the Women's Union of Trieu Co commune organized the "Love Mid-Autumn Festival" program in 2025 for orphaned children and children in difficult circumstances in the area. At the program, the Women's Union of the commune presented 85 gifts (worth 300,000 VND/gift) to the children from the support fund of units and enterprises; and together with the children, they enjoyed special performances and broke the cake in a joyful and warm atmosphere.

Chairwoman of the Women's Union of Trieu Co Commune, Nguyen Thi Quynh Huong, said: "Every year, on the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival, the women's associations in the commune have coordinated with the villages to organize the Mid-Autumn Festival and give gifts to children... This year, after the merger, the commune is larger in scale, with a large number of orphans and children in difficult circumstances, so the Women's Union of the commune decided to organize a separate Mid-Autumn Festival program for them. The gifts given, although not large, show the care and love of the authorities and society for the children, encouraging them to be good and study well."

Kim Dien is a mountainous commune, ethnic minorities account for nearly 35% of the population. In order for children to have a joyful Mid-Autumn Festival, the Commune People's Committee coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to organize the program "Mid-Autumn Festival Connecting Love".

Ms. Tran Thanh Van, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Office Youth Union, said: “This is a meaningful activity, not only a material gift but also a spiritual gift to help children have more joy in life. Youth Union members and youth of relevant grassroots Youth Union organizations coordinated together to plan the program early, assigning specific tasks to each relevant department. From mobilizing funding sources, designing mockups, preparing gifts, organizing venues, program scripts, etc., everything was implemented methodically, closely and urgently. Thanks to that, the program was successful, bringing joy to children during the Mid-Autumn Festival.”

On this occasion, organizations and benefactors presented 27 gifts to policy families, 50 scholarships to disadvantaged students and 500 Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to children in Kim Dien commune. Each scholarship and each gift is a source of spiritual encouragement, adding confidence for children to firmly step on the path of learning, nurturing their childhood dreams. On this occasion, playgrounds for children, community libraries, rows of gratitude trees, projects to light up rural roads... were also supported by the Youth Union organizations to build and repair. The total value of the activities is over 60 million VND.

The province currently has 449,760 children under 16 years old; of which 137,072 are children under 6 years old, 30,755 are children from poor and near-poor households and 4,307 are children in special circumstances.

Youth projects supported on this occasion also contributed to creating more playgrounds for children. These spiritual and material contributions will help children have more joy and motivation to go to school."

With love and care for children, especially children in difficult circumstances, orphans, disabled children, remote areas, ethnic minorities... many meaningful Mid-Autumn Festival activities have been organized by units and localities in the province to bring joy to the children. Thousands of children have had a warm Mid-Autumn Festival with lanterns, lion dances, feasts, gifts and meaningful scholarships. Each program is a practical action demonstrating the responsibility and care of the Party, State, all levels, sectors, localities, businesses and each individual for the young generation, the future owners of the country.

On the occasion of the Mid-Autumn Festival 2025, the Department of Health organized delegations to visit and give gifts to children at 10 social assistance facilities and facilities that are nurturing, caring for, and educating children and disabled children in the province.
