Fines for more than 500 parking lots violating regulations

The Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate said: Since the beginning of the year, this agency has focused on inspecting and sanctioning administrative violations at vehicle parking lots licensed by the Hanoi Department of Transport to temporarily use the roadway to organize vehicle parking on streets in the city.

Specifically, in the first 9 months of 2024, the Hanoi Department of Transport Inspectorate inspected and recorded 522 administrative violations, with a fine of more than 2.4 billion VND.

Of which, 157 cases of illegal occupation of the roadway for vehicle parking resulted in fines of more than 738 million VND. 172 cases of illegal occupation of the sidewalk for vehicle parking resulted in fines of more than 614 million VND. 193 cases of illegal vehicle parking resulted in fines of 1.1 billion VND.

During the same period, units under the City Police mobilized 5,942 officers and soldiers to patrol, guide, and remind 102 parking lots and points, in which 2 cases were fined 90 million VND for providing services at prices not in accordance with the prices regulated by the City People's Committee.

In addition, in the areas surrounding 102 parking lots and parking lots, the police units inspected and fined 21 cases with a total fine of more than 140 million VND for acts of occupying urban roads or sidewalks to keep and park vehicles.
