
Tuan Son commune was established on the basis of merging 3 communes: Minh Son, Minh Hoa and Hoa Thang. Along with that, the movement of afforestation and developing the forest hill economy in the commune as well as the surrounding communes has strongly developed, creating abundant sources of raw materials.
Mr. Le Tien Dung, Deputy Head of the Economic Department of Tuan Son Commune, said: With the available favorable conditions, in recent years, a number of enterprises and households in Tuan Son Commune have invested in equipment, linked production, and sought markets to implement the peeled wood production model. Currently, the commune has 39 establishments producing peeled wood, plywood, etc. Peeled wood production has contributed to increasing the value of forestry production as well as creating jobs and income for local workers.
Mr. Nguyen Van Manh, Production Director of Thanh An Wood Production Joint Stock Company, Tuan Son Commune, said: The company operates mainly in the field of plywood production. Recently, the market for product consumption has encountered difficulties. Faced with this reality, on the one hand, the unit continues to search for markets, on the other hand, mobilizes internal resources to ensure stable production and business. Currently, the unit maintains jobs for about 100 workers with an income of 8-13 million VND/person/month.
Similarly, in recent years, Lang Son Star Anise Export Company Limited, Tuan Son Commune has constantly made efforts in production and business to improve operational efficiency, create jobs and income for workers. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Nhan, Director of the company, said: Previously, tree bark, scraps, defective and damaged peeled boards (generally called waste from peeled wood production) were often burned or thrown away by facilities. After researching in a number of places, in 2019, the company began investing in equipment and machinery to deploy charcoal production from peeled wood waste. Such charcoal production not only helps peeled wood facilities earn more income but also helps the company create jobs for 22 workers.
Mr. Pham Van Nguyen, Ao Dau village, Huu Lung commune (a worker at the company) said: My main job is repairing machines. Operating effectively, the company creates stable jobs for me and some other workers with an average income of about 10 million VND/person/month. Having a job and a stable income near home helps my family stabilize their lives, and I myself also work hard to develop with the company.
Along with the above units, in recent times, peeled wood and plywood production facilities in Tuan Son commune have also continuously made efforts to mobilize resources to invest in equipment, human resources, and seek to expand product consumption markets. Thereby contributing to facilitating the consumption of planted wood products as well as creating jobs for local workers. In recent years, the average annual revenue from peeled wood and plywood production activities in the commune is about 250 billion VND. At the same time, peeled wood production facilities create jobs for 700-1,000 workers (depending on the production time) with an average income of 6-10 million VND/person/month... According to the Department of Industry and Trade, Tuan Son commune is one of the communes developing the leading wood processing model in the province.
In the period of 2025-2030, Tuan Son commune sets a target of increasing the local budget revenue by an average of 10% or more annually; increasing the average income per capita by 2030 by 118% compared to 2025; attracting the development of 1 more industrial park, 1 industrial cluster; establishing 60 new enterprises... To achieve these specific targets, the commune needs to carry out many tasks, in which the commune determines to continue promoting its strengths in the production and trading of peeled wood and plywood.
Mr. Hoang Minh Phuc, Chairman of Tuan Son Commune People's Committee said: In the coming time, the Commune People's Committee will continue to coordinate with relevant sectors to focus on supporting and removing difficulties to promote the development of wood processing models in the area. In particular, focusing on solving problems related to procedures and land; orienting and supporting the development of raw material areas; ensuring security and order; maintaining environmental sanitation... Thereby, continuing to accompany businesses, households and individuals in wood production, trading and processing. Thereby contributing to the successful implementation of socio-economic development goals in the area.
