Promoting the role of farmers in the digital transformation period

Speaking at the 1st Congress of the Farmers' Association of Tan Hung Commune, term 2025-2030 on the afternoon of October 23, comrade Do Hoang Tuan, Permanent Vice Chairman, Head of the Farmers' Affairs Committee (Farmers' Association of Ca Mau Province) requested the Farmers' Association of the commune to continue promoting the core role of the peasant class in developing modern agriculture, promoting the application of science and technology, digital transformation in production, replicating cooperative economic models, contributing to building advanced and exemplary new rural areas.

The Standing Vice President also noted that the Association needs to effectively implement the Central and Provincial Resolutions on agriculture , farmers and rural areas until 2030, with a vision to 2045; focus on improving the quality of the farmers' movement to compete in production and good business, unite to help each other get rich and reduce poverty sustainably; promote the effectiveness of the Farmers' Support Fund, creating a spreading effect in the community.

The congress had 84 official delegates, representing 981 farmer members in the whole commune.

During the past term, the Farmers' Association of Tan Hung commune achieved many outstanding results, especially in the "3 pioneers" movement: pioneering in escaping poverty and getting rich; pioneering in building civilized farmers; pioneering in green and sustainable production, associated with digital transformation. Currently, the commune has 7 cooperatives and 8 professional associations boldly applying high technology in production such as: super-intensive shrimp farming, two-stage improved extensive shrimp farming, crab farming in plastic boxes...

The Congress pointed out the limitations that need to be overcome, drew lessons and identified 5 general goals, 11 specific targets, 4 breakthrough tasks and key solutions for the 2025-2030 term.

Comrade Do Hoang Tuan donated 2 billion VND from the Farmers Support Fund to the Commune Farmers' Association.

At the Congress, the Standing Committee of the Provincial Farmers' Association announced the Decision to appoint personnel for the Executive Committee, Standing Committee, Chairman, Vice Chairman of the Commune Farmers' Association for the first term, 2025-2030, including 32 members; Ms. Tran Thi Dang was appointed to hold the position of Chairman of the Tan Hung Commune Farmers' Association for the first term, 2025-2030.
