The patient discovered the tumor at the age of 7, but due to the family's difficult economic conditions, the patient was not examined and treated promptly. The tumor started in the forehead area, gradually spreading down the face, invading the left eye socket and causing facial deformity. By mid-August 2025, with support from benefactors, the patient was admitted to Binh Duong General Hospital.

Clinical examination revealed a tumor measuring approximately 25×35cm, fixed to the skull, immobile, with chronically inflamed skin covering the mass. Imaging tests including CT-Scan and MRI, combined with pathological anatomy, determined that this was a benign frontal cranial osteochondroma but overgrowth, leading to severe deformity.

Recognizing that this was a complicated case, doctors at Binh Duong General Hospital organized interdisciplinary consultations to find the best and safest treatment, including: Neurosurgery, Oncology, Orthopedic Microsurgery, Ophthalmology, Hematology, Anesthesia and Nutrition. The main and preventive treatment plans were established to ensure absolute safety, the treatment goals included completely removing the tumor, preserving maximum function, ensuring aesthetics and complying with the patient's religious wishes.

The surgery was performed on the morning of August 28, with the participation of 6 surgeons and 3 anesthesiologists. The 7-hour surgery removed the damaged skin layer outside the tumor, reconstructed the roof of the left eye socket, and used a local skin flap to cover the incision. The entire process was effectively controlled to stop bleeding without the need for a blood transfusion, in accordance with the patient's religious requirements.

After 3 days of surgery, the patient recovered well: alert, vital signs were stable, able to move gently and maintain a full diet. Test results were within safe limits. The patient's face was significantly improved, the giant tumor was completely removed, contributing to improving confidence and quality of life after 15 years of suffering.
