On the afternoon of October 7, the film crew of Cai Ma organized an introduction of the project to the media and press in Ho Chi Minh City. Director Thang Vu and actors: Hoang Phuc, Hoang Meo, Le Huynh, Kieu Trinh, Rima Thanh Vy, Avin Lu, Ly Hong An... were present at the event.
One of the questions that has received a lot of attention is whether the movie is a copy of Exhuma ( Grave Digger ) or not, because there are many similarities in both content and story.
Producer Emily Le confirmed that Cai Ma did not copy the famous Korean work. Because at the time Quat Mo Trung Ma was released and achieved global success, the script for Cai Ma was already completed.
When talking about the film, producer Kim Young Min was interested in the similarities in culture and burial customs between Vietnamese and Korean people, so he agreed to be a consultant. He flew to Vietnam to support the crew professionally.

Regarding the recent scandals involving Thien An - an actress participating in the film, director Thang Vu affirmed that the film does not belong to any individual but is the heart and soul of the entire crew.
Both producer Emily Le and director Thang Vu hope that the audience will give Cai Ma a chance to be received and evaluated fairly.
At the event, the actors in the film also shared many memorable experiences when participating in this project.

For the first time entering the horror film genre, to play the role of Sang, Avin Lu shared that he had to practice living like a "forest man" to fully reveal the character's strange and mysterious personality.
He said that up until now, audiences have mainly known him through the following types of roles: youth, scholar, love-sick poet, so he has wanted to change for a long time. He hopes that this challenging, thorny role will bring a new color.
Meanwhile, for Rima Thanh Vy, this is her 4th horror film project. She confided that she is not afraid of being pigeonholed into this genre and is still excited and nervous for the role.

Notably, Cai Ma also marks the return of the "villain boss" Hoang Phuc after a long absence. He revealed that the role in this film brings a different feeling, both thorny, unpredictable in color but very real.
Meanwhile, for Kieu Trinh, this role brought her many special experiences, including spiritual experiences on set.

At the event, the film crew also announced the official poster and trailer.
The movie is scheduled to premiere on October 31.
