On the afternoon of November 28, at the Government headquarters, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai received Chairman of the State Judicial Expertise Committee of the Republic of Belarus Volkov Alexei Aleksandrovich, who is on a working visit to Vietnam.
Welcoming the Chairman and the high-ranking delegation of the State Judicial Expertise Committee of the Republic of Belarus to their official visit to Vietnam, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai said that the visit is of great significance in affirming the determination to consolidate and comprehensively and substantially develop the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
The Deputy Prime Minister said that the Vietnamese Government and people highly appreciate and congratulate Belarus on the positive results achieved in the country's construction; and hope that the Belarusian people, under the leadership of President Lucasenco, will continue to achieve even greater achievements in the cause of national construction and development, and enhance its position in the international arena.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai, over the past years, the political , economic, cultural, social, security, defense cooperation between Vietnam and the Republic of Belarus has been continuously consolidated, strengthened and developed, actively contributing to the stable and sustainable development of each country.
The Government and people of Vietnam are always deeply grateful to the Government and people of Belarus for their solidarity and great and valuable support for the past struggle for national liberation and reunification, as well as in the current cause of national construction and defense.
Especially during the Covid-19 outbreak and rapid spread in Vietnam, the Belarusian Government has supported many medical supplies and equipment, helping Vietnam to quickly control the situation. This is a testament to the thoughtful care, sharing the joys and sorrows, sharing the joys and sorrows when friends are in trouble and misfortune.
The Deputy Prime Minister highly appreciated the results of the talks between the Chairman of the Belarusian Judicial Expertise Committee and the Minister of Public Security of Vietnam, To Lam, and was pleased to see that the two sides had discussed and agreed on specific and practical measures to further promote the cooperative relationship and the agreements reached between the two sides' senior leaders. The cooperation agreement in the field of judicial expertise between the two sides, signed in July 2019 in Minsk, has been actively implemented.
Regarding the reception of the Minister of Internal Affairs and the Minister of Emergency Situations of Belarus in early 2023, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai said that he discussed with the two Ministers practical cooperation issues in the fields of crime prevention and control, fire prevention and fighting, rescue, warning, and overcoming consequences caused by natural disasters.
The short-term visits to Vietnam by high-ranking delegations from the Belarusian Government Ministries clearly demonstrate the determination to strengthen cooperation between the security and law enforcement agencies of the two countries, contributing to promoting the traditional cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Belarus.
The Deputy Prime Minister also mentioned the cooperation between the two countries in economics and education and training, emphasizing that Belarus has helped Vietnam train many highly qualified officials and experts. In March 2023, the Vietnamese Government approved the draft content of the "Agreement between the Government of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Government of the Republic of Belarus on cooperation in the field of education", authorizing the leaders of the Ministry of Education and Training to sign the Agreement on behalf of the Government with the authorized representative of the Government of Belarus. The Deputy Prime Minister suggested that the two sides soon implement it to create favorable conditions for cooperation in this important field.
Sending Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's regards to Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, Deputy Prime Minister Le Minh Khai said that Vietnam will do its best to make the Belarusian Prime Minister's visit to Vietnam, scheduled to take place in early December, a great success.
Thanking the Deputy Prime Minister for taking the time to meet, Chairman of the State Commission for Forensic Expertise of the Republic of Belarus Volkov Alexei Aleksandrovich informed about some details of the talks with Minister of Public Security To Lam that took place in the afternoon of the same day.
At the talks, the two sides assessed that the implementation of the cooperation agreement in the field of forensic expertise between the Ministry of Public Security of Vietnam and the State Commission for Forensic Expertise of the Republic of Belarus has achieved positive results.
Mr. Volkov Alexei Aleksandrovich affirmed that the close cooperation between the two sides in judicial expertise work has contributed to deepening and consolidating the friendly and traditional relationship between Belarus and Vietnam, making it increasingly sustainable and developing; he believes that after the talks, the relationship between the two sides will be raised to a new height.
