PC08 representative said that at the time of the incident, there was no traffic police team handling violations at the intersection, so no cases were punished by the traffic police. Through discussions with the leaders of the Urban Traffic Infrastructure Management Department, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport, the preliminary record is as follows: The traffic light system at this intersection is not a smart light system but operates according to a pre-installed cycle.
PC08 also checked the center's traffic light management system and did not detect any human intervention or impact on the traffic light control cabinet. The initial cause was determined to be due to the process of switching the time cycle according to the setup program, causing the traffic light system to suddenly switch cycles without fully performing the previous traffic light countdown cycle, causing the incident.
