Cau Ong Lanh Ward installs 400 cameras to prevent soliciting tourists

Currently, Cau Ong Lanh ward has a system of 400 cameras to monitor and promptly handle tourist solicitation and will continue to add cameras in the near future.

According to Ms. Truong Thi Minh Dung - Chairman of Cau Ong Lanh Ward People's Committee, after the arrangement, the ward's area is ^1.6km2 , with a population of nearly 80,000 people. With its central location in the city, Cau Ong Lanh Ward has many advantages in developing trade and services.

Currently, the ward has nearly 3,000 business households, individual businesses, nearly 3,200 enterprises and 2 cooperatives operating and fulfilling tax obligations, mainly in accommodation, food and beverage services, wholesale and retail of goods, banking and financial activities and other service industries.

At the launching ceremony of the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Ward Business Association and the conference to meet and accompany businesses in 2025, some businesses reflected on the problem of soliciting tourists , affecting the business environment and local image.

Faced with this issue, a representative of the Cau Ong Lanh Ward Police said that they have increased patrol forces, including patrol team 363 operating in a closed manner, setting up checkpoints in complex, crowded areas, especially at night and during peak times.

In addition, the local police force is effectively exploiting the system of more than 400 surveillance cameras to detect and promptly handle violations and solicitation of customers. At the same time, the local police are directed to review and record additional locations that need to install additional security surveillance equipment.

Also according to the leader of Cau Ong Lanh ward, the launch of the Steering Committee for the establishment of the Cau Ong Lanh Ward Business Association aims to establish a common home between the government, businesses, and entrepreneurs in the ward.

This house can connect, share experiences, knowledge, protect rights, cooperate and promote the development of member businesses, support the community and create a bridge between the government and businesses and between businesses with each other.
