The "Three Responsibilities" movement is forever the pride of women in the capital.

Kinhtedothi - On the evening of March 22, at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace and the "Three Talents" Women Monument (Dan Phuong district), the art and political program "Forever the tradition of Three Talents" women was broadcast live.

The program was organized by the City Women's Union in coordination with Hanoi Radio and Television to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the "Three Responsibilities" Women's Movement (March 1965 - March 2025).

Attending the program were comrades of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Commission Pham Tat Thang; President of the Vietnam Women's Union Nguyen Thi Tuyen; former member of the Party Central Committee, Vice President Nguyen Thi Doan, President of the Vietnam Association for Promoting Education .

On the side of Hanoi delegates, there were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong; Member of the Standing Committee of the Hanoi Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hanoi Nguyen Lan Huong; Deputy Head of the Hanoi National Assembly Delegation Pham Thi Thanh Mai.

Also attending the program were delegates who were leaders and former leaders of a number of ministries, branches, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union; delegates who were leaders of the Party Committee of the City, the Fatherland Front, departments, branches, socio-political organizations of the city... especially women who directly participated in the "Three Responsibilities" Women's Movement during the resistance war against the US to save the country.

Speaking at the program, Chairwoman of the Hanoi Women's Union (VWU) Le Kim Anh reviewed the history of the "Three Responsibilities" Women's Movement. Accordingly, originating from the initiative of the Dan Phuong District Women's Union, on March 22, 1965, the "Three Responsibilities" movement was officially launched by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union in Directive 03 and President Ho Chi Minh suggested changing the name to "Three Responsibilities".

The program "Three Responsibilities" includes: being responsible for production and work to replace husband and children who go to war; being responsible for household chores so husband and children can fight with peace of mind; being responsible for combat service and being ready to fight when necessary.

The movement developed into a vibrant revolutionary movement, full of enthusiasm of women in the whole North in the period 1965-1975. From 1965 to 1974, the "Three Responsibilities" movement in the whole North had 42 female heroes, 9 female hero units were honored; 1,718 women were awarded the Uncle Ho Badge, over 5,000 women were national emulation fighters, nearly 4 million members achieved the title of "Three Responsibilities" women.

Through the “Three Responsibilities” movement, Hanoi women, along with women and people in the North, fulfilled their great rear duty to the Southern frontline, worthy of President Ho Chi Minh’s praise: “Vietnamese women are brave and responsible in fighting the Americans to save the country”; contributing to the great victory of Spring 1975, liberating the South and unifying the country.

"60 years have passed, but the mark of the "Three Responsibilities" movement will always be the pride of women, the people of the capital and the whole country" - the President of the Hanoi Women's Union affirmed.

According to the President of the Hanoi Women's Union, Le Kim Anh, the political art program "Forever the tradition of Three Talents Women" was produced by Hanoi Radio and Television in collaboration with the Hanoi Women's Union to review the proud and glorious tradition of the women's movement and the whole nation during the years of resistance against the US; as a tribute to the grandmothers and mothers - the "Three Talents" women of the capital in the past.
