Plan to reorganize and streamline the apparatus at the State Bank

On December 10, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc chaired meetings on reorganizing and streamlining the apparatus of the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, the National Financial Supervision Committee, the State Bank, and the Vietnam Social Security.

Regarding the plan to reorganize and streamline the apparatus of the State Bank of Vietnam , Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc requested that in the process of implementing the reorganization and streamlining of the apparatus, it is necessary to do a good job of ideological work to create consensus in the system, and at the same time, research and propose policies for affected cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers.

The Deputy Prime Minister also emphasized that banking inspection and supervision work must ensure reasonable scale, sufficient staff, and sufficient responsibility to effectively perform assigned functions and tasks.

The State Bank continues to review and calculate to balance and ensure the reduction of focal points as required; and partially take over the functions, tasks and personnel of the National Financial Supervision Committee.

The State Bank of Vietnam has implemented plans to streamline the apparatus in the spirit of "one job, one contact".

The State Bank has proposed a plan to reorganize departments, bureaus, and affiliated public service units; a plan to reorganize the Banking Inspection and Supervision Agency and State Bank branches in localities.

The two largest reductions are the State Bank Branches in provinces and cities and the restructuring of the Banking Inspection and Supervision Agency from a general department model to bureaus.
