Son Tay Ward: Many activities to honor families of meritorious people

Politic families and outstanding people with meritorious services were visited and given gifts on this occasion, including: Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Phan, 5 martyrs' wives, martyrs' relatives, 3 wounded soldiers, 4 sick soldiers and 3 resistance fighters infected with toxic chemicals.

At the places they visited, the leaders of Son Tay ward expressed their deep gratitude for the sacrifices and great contributions of martyrs, wounded and sick soldiers for the independence and freedom of the nation, and at the same time hoped that the families would continue to promote revolutionary traditions, overcome difficulties to build happy and prosperous families.

This is an activity demonstrating the morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", the care and gratitude of the Party Committee and the government of Son Tay ward towards policy families in the area on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day, July 27.

Also on the occasion of July 27 this year, Son Tay ward organized many meaningful activities to take care of people with meritorious services, such as: Mobilizing all levels, branches, unions, economic and social organizations and people to actively participate in supporting the "Repaying gratitude" Fund launched by the Ward People's Committee; providing care in rotation for 724 people with meritorious services; supporting 2 families of people with meritorious services to the revolution in difficult circumstances to repair and upgrade their houses; maintaining 100% of households of people with meritorious services to the revolution with a stable standard of living, equal to or higher than the average standard of living of the people in the place of residence; continuing to mobilize agencies, units, socio -political organizations, and enterprises to take care of and provide thoughtful support for the material and spiritual life of "Vietnamese Heroic Mothers" who are still alive, with a support level of 2,000,000 VND/person/month; health check-ups, gifts for more than 700 policy beneficiaries and meritorious people, total value of nearly 15 million VND; incense offering and candle lighting ceremonies at cemeteries in the area...

Through practical and meaningful activities, the work of caring for people with meritorious services has become a widespread movement, expressing the affection and gratitude of the cadres and people of Son Tay ward towards families with meritorious services to the country.
