On the morning of October 8, after receiving orders from the Head of the Ministry of National Defense ; the Party Committee and Command of the Air Defense - Air Force (PK-KQ) directed Division 371 to use helicopters of Regiment 916 to provide relief and assistance to people in Van Nham commune, Yen Binh commune and Tuan Son commune in Lang Son province who were isolated due to floods, the consequences of storm No. 11 (Matmo).

Today, 3 helicopters of Regiment 916 made 3 flights carrying 6 tons of essential supplies to the people of Lang Son , and 1 more flight in the afternoon with 2 tons of goods.

In the morning, three helicopters took off one after another, the Mi-171 helicopter took off at 7:30 a.m.; two Mi-17s took off at 8:20 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. from Hoa Lac Airport to Gia Lam Airport, Hanoi to load and unload relief goods.

In the morning, Mi-171 and Mi-17 helicopters transported relief goods to the people of Van Nham and Yen Binh communes in Lang Son province. Next, the remaining Mi-17 transported relief goods to the people of Tuan Son commune, Lang Son province.
This is a very meaningful activity of officers and soldiers of the Air Defense - Air Force Service, contributing to helping people in the flooded area of Lang Son province, which is currently isolated and inaccessible by road vehicles, to overcome difficulties caused by the consequences of storm No. 11.
