Russia increases the size of its armed forces

President Putin decided to increase the size of the Russian armed forces to 2,389,130 ​​people.

Accordingly, Mr. Putin signed a new decree on increasing the size of the Russian armed forces. This document was posted on the official website of the state's legal documents.

“ I decide: To establish the number of armed forces of the Russian Federation at 2,389,130 ​​units, including 1,500,000 servicemen ,” the decree of President Putin stated. This document takes effect from December 1, 2024.

NATO gives Ukraine the green light

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that member countries should make their own decisions to remove weapons from Ukraine.

Russia regains control of two more residential areas in Kursk

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, its forces have just regained control of two villages in Kursk and repelled several Ukrainian attacks in the area.

“ The Russian military continues its operation to defeat the enemy forces that penetrated Kursk and neutralize Ukrainian units. The Northern Group continues its advance and has taken control of the settlements of Uspenovka and Borki ,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

In addition, Russian forces also repelled five Ukrainian attacks in the past 24 hours and attacked many enemy positions in Kursk, while stopping three enemy cross-border attacks.
