How is Quang Ngai competing in the peak "500 days to complete 3,000km of highway"?

On October 23, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province announced that it had issued a plan to implement the peak emulation campaign "500 days and nights of emulation to complete 3,000km of expressway" in the province.

Accordingly, Quang Ngai province determined that, in order for the emulation campaign to bring the highest and most practical results, the province mobilized the strength of the entire political system, relevant agencies, organizations and individuals to organize the implementation of construction works, project items, site clearance, resettlement support, relocation of technical infrastructure works, etc.

Focus on effectively implementing site clearance, resettlement support, and relocation of technical infrastructure works to hand over the site on schedule and remove difficulties and obstacles related to construction materials.

At the same time, promote administrative procedure reform, ensure convenience, overcome troubles and reduce costs for investors; publicize and make information transparent so that competent authorities and people of all walks of life can participate in monitoring the implementation of agencies, units and localities, and effectively prevent and combat corruption and waste in project implementation.

Research and apply science and technology, information technology, and modern management methods in the design, construction, operation, and management of highway projects to improve labor efficiency, shorten time, save resources and human resources, and use highly applicable, environmentally friendly, and safe materials.

The province's plan also requires strengthening propaganda and mobilizing people to agree, comply with policies, and actively participate in site clearance for infrastructure projects of the North-South Expressway project through the province.

"Departments, branches, sectors and localities where the project has been implemented have been proactive and creative in resolving difficulties and obstacles, supporting investors and contractors to ensure supply and coordination of construction materials during project implementation.

Regularly monitor, urge, inspect and supervise the implementation of the Emulation Campaign to promptly detect, commend and reward advanced models, share new initiatives, models and creative approaches in the process of implementing the highway construction project...", the plan clearly stated.

Quang Ngai - Hoai Nhon Expressway is one of 12 component projects of the North - South Expressway that started construction in early 2023. This is the project with the largest investment capital of up to more than 20,400 billion VND, stretching across two provinces, Quang Ngai and Binh Dinh, with a length of 88km.

To date, the project has reached over VND6,100 billion out of a total of over VND13,400 billion in construction and installation capital. In 2024 alone, the capital plan allocated for the construction and installation project is over VND4,000 billion, and to date, nearly VND2,700 billion has been disbursed, reaching over 66% of the plan.
