Quang Ninh accompanies Lao localities in education and development

On September 4 in Quang Ninh, Mr. Vu Dai Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Quang Ninh Provincial Party Committee received a delegation of the Laos - Vietnam Friendship Association led by Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara, Minister of Technology and Communications, President of the Association, who visited and worked in the province.

Welcoming the delegation of the Laos - Vietnam Friendship Association to visit Quang Ninh after attending the 80th Anniversary of Vietnam's National Day in Hanoi, Mr. Vu Dai Thang informed about some outstanding results that Quang Ninh has achieved in the 2020 - 2025 term. He affirmed that Quang Ninh always attaches importance to and strives to contribute to fostering the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. Currently, Quang Ninh has established cooperative relations with 3 localities of Laos, regularly exchanging delegations and cooperating in many fields, including education and training.

The province is supporting the construction of 3 schools in Lao localities; the number of Lao students studying at Ha Long University increases every year, many of them are good students, and have good working conditions after graduation. Mr. Vu Dai Thang emphasized that Quang Ninh will continue to closely coordinate with Lao localities in investment and development cooperation. He hopes that the Laos - Vietnam Friendship Association will support the connection so that the province can implement specific programs and projects, further strengthening the relationship between the two countries.

On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara expressed his pleasure to attend the 80th anniversary of Vietnam's National Day and witness the rapid and strong development of the country. He affirmed that the great friendship, special solidarity and comprehensive cooperation between the two countries, established by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kaysone Phomvihane, is a priceless asset that needs to be continued to be nurtured and passed on to future generations.

The President of the Laos-Vietnam Friendship Association highly appreciated Quang Ninh's support for Lao students studying abroad, including the sponsorship model, creating more emotional ties between the two peoples. He also suggested that in the future, it would be possible to organize for godparents in Quang Ninh to visit and meet the children's families in Laos.

Mr. Boviengkham Vongdara thanked Quang Ninh for its attention and practical support in training human resources and cooperating with Lao localities, contributing to deepening the special friendship between Vietnam and Laos.
