Planning to add a railway to Chua Chan mountain

Dong Nai will plan four new Chua Chan mountain railway lines through the communes of Xuan Tho, Xuan Truong, Xuan Hiep, Suoi Cat and Gia Ray town of Xuan Loc district.

Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has just approved the adjustment of the master plan for the preservation, restoration, and embellishment of Chua Chan Mountain scenic relic site until 2030. In particular, cable car routes and mountain railways will be planned.

Specifically, the locality will plan three new cable car routes from the southeast foot of the mountain to the top of Chua Chan mountain and one cable car route serving the mountain top area.

Along with that, there will also be a new planning of 4 mountain railways to connect the Chua Chan mountain peak areas. The scope of the research to adjust the relic planning is more than 1,700 hectares located in 4 communes: Xuan Tho, Xuan Truong, Xuan Hiep, Suoi Cat and Gia Ray town in Xuan Loc district. In which, the scope of the relic planning adjustment has an area of ​​250 hectares including: protection area 1 is 18.5 hectares, protection area 2 and the current traffic connection area is more than 231 hectares. Regarding the content of the relic planning adjustment, the relic protection areas will be adjusted to expand and narrow depending on the characteristics of each specific relic.

Organizing functional spaces including: festival square, food service area, entertainment area (sledding, zipline, adventure climbing, various types of swings, roller coasters, etc.)

The decision also determined to divide the project into 5 component groups. The total investment is more than 18,200 billion VND from the State budget and mobilized other legal capital sources according to the provisions of the law on public investment and the law on the State budget. The project is divided into 2 investment phases, from 2025-2027 and from 2027-2030.
