Implementing the order of the Minister of Public Security and the Directive of the Provincial People's Committee on launching a peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes, ensuring security and order (ANTT) for the Lunar New Year 2025, this morning, December 10, at the Provincial Cultural - Cinema Center, the Quang Tri Provincial Police organized a launching ceremony to carry out a peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes. Director of the Provincial Police, Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai chaired the ceremony. The peak period of crime suppression and security and order assurance for the Lunar New Year 2025 will start from December 15, 2024 to February 15, 2025, aiming to stabilize political security (ANCT), social order and safety (TTATXH), create a proactive position in all situations, prevent sudden changes and surprises, ensure security and safety for important political and social events of the country and localities, festivals and recreational activities of the people, especially activities during the Lunar New Year 2025 and early spring festivals.

During the peak period, the Provincial Police force will concentrate its forces and means to create positive changes in crime prevention and control, and build a spirit of "rule of law". Resolutely fight and strictly handle all types of crimes and violations of the law; strive during the peak period to reduce the number of social order crimes by 5% compared to the same period and the previous two months; the rate of investigation and resolution of cases will reach over 80%, very serious and especially serious cases will reach 95% or more.

Speaking at the ceremony, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 138 Hoang Nam emphasized: During the Lunar New Year, the situation of security and order, social order and safety in the country in general and in the province in particular often tends to develop complicatedly. Criminal crimes, drugs and social evils will increase, especially theft, robbery, property robbery, gambling and drug crimes. Protection and debt collection activities of gangs and groups are likely to reappear. Smuggling, production and trading of counterfeit and poor quality goods will be active. The situation of crime and violations of the law on weapons, explosives, support tools and firecrackers will be complicated and difficult to control. Violations of hygiene and food safety will become common. In addition, the traffic volume of people and vehicles is high and will negatively impact the traffic order situation and public order.

To effectively ensure security and order for the New Year, Lunar New Year 2025, political events, spring festivals and protect the safety of people celebrating the New Year, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 138 Hoang Nam requested the Provincial Police to continue to promote its core role, coordinate with all levels, branches, socio-political organizations and the masses in the area to promote the combined strength of the entire political system in the fight against crime, maintain security and order, and serve the task of developing the province well. Proactively advise and propose to the Party committees and authorities on basic policies and measures to ensure good security and order, social order and safety in all situations, create an overwhelming atmosphere for criminals, and not give criminals the opportunity or conditions to operate.

Proactively grasp and accurately assess the security and order situation in the area to develop plans, set out goals, requirements, contents, measures, and assign specific and appropriate forces to effectively carry out the peak period of crime attacks. Carry out prevention work well, promptly detect, stop, and defeat all plots and coordinated sabotage activities of reactionary elements; ensure the maintenance of security and order in all situations, absolutely do not be passive or surprised; promptly resolve complicated issues right at the grassroots level, do not let "hot spots" arise for a long time.

Focus on drastically implementing measures to attack, suppress, and hunt down all types of crimes, especially organized crimes, black credit, gambling, public disorder, and property infringement. Destroy drug trafficking and transportation lines, drug-organizing and illegal drug use locations; step up the fight against corruption, economic crimes, smuggling, trade fraud, and counterfeit goods during the Lunar New Year. Timely detect and fight against crimes and violations of the law on the environment, resources, minerals, and food safety; create a strong change in the fight against crime, stop criminal activities, and prevent very serious and especially serious incidents from occurring.

Continue to effectively implement the national program on crime prevention and control; determined not to let gangs with complicated activities on social order and safety form; restrain and reduce social evils, especially gambling at the end of the year. Do a good job of ensuring traffic order and safety, focus on handling violations of alcohol and drug concentrations and violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents, and do not let illegal racing occur. Focus on doing a good job of managing population, temporary residence, temporary absence, entry and exit, strengthen inspection and rectification of conditional business lines; do a good job of preventing and fighting fires and explosions, creating a stable, safe and peaceful environment.

Regularly patrol and control during peak hours, key areas and routes, promptly detect and prevent all types of crimes, sabotage activities causing fires, explosions, illegal use of fireworks before, during and after Tet, especially New Year's Eve; absolutely protect the safety of Christmas 2024, New Year's Day, Lunar New Year 2025, key political, economic and social targets, activities of Party and State leaders visiting and wishing a happy new year in localities, and people's entertainment activities.

At the same time, request the heads of departments, branches, sectors and localities to organize the dissemination and serious implementation of Directive No. 12 dated December 6, 2024 of the Acting Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on launching a peak period of attacking and suppressing crimes, ensuring security and order for the Lunar New Year 2025. Enhance the sense of responsibility, be ready to support and closely coordinate with the police force to mobilize the combined strength of the entire socio-political system during the peak period, determined to strive to maintain security and order, social order and safety; absolutely protect the security and safety of key targets and major events of the country and the province, especially ensuring safety for people to enjoy Tet and welcome Spring.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Police Director, Colonel Nguyen Duc Hai, issued the order to launch the campaign with the slogan "CAND forget themselves for the country, serve the people", affirming the spirit of determination to attack and suppress crime of the entire Provincial Police force right from the first days of the campaign.
