'Wild Robot' Takes Over in North America

On September 29, the animated sci-fi film "The Wild Robot" (Vietnamese name is "Robot hoang sa") topped the North American box office last weekend, ending "Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice"'s three consecutive weeks at the top of the chart.

The film, produced by DreamWorks Animation, tells the story of a robot surviving on a deserted island. The film is adapted from the best-selling book series of the same name by author Peter Brown. Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong'o voices Roz - a home assistant developed by Silicon Valley. During transportation, a storm capsized the cargo ship, leaving the intelligent robot stranded on an uninhabited island in the Pacific Northwest . To survive, Roz must befriend a group of wild animals that are confused by the appearance of the robot and become the foster mother of an orphaned gosling named Brightbill.
