Ready for military service

On February 25, the 2024 military enlistment ceremony in our province officially took place. In this year's military enlistment, our province has 1,225 young men (TN) who passed the military service (NVQS) and police, all of whom are eager and ready to join the army. Up to this point, the preparations for the 2024 military enlistment ceremony have also been carefully prepared by the Military Service Councils of 7 districts and cities with the spirit of "enough military enlistment, quality, fast, safe and in accordance with regulations".

Implementing the Prime Minister's decision on the selection and calling of citizens to join the army in 2024, the Provincial Military Service Council has deployed tasks and assigned targets to districts and cities; at the same time, directed the Military Service Councils of 7 districts and cities to conduct inspections, reviews, lists and organize the review of political and policy capacity in accordance with regulations; in which the two core sectors, the military and the police, have coordinated to review and classify the capacity closely, ensuring accuracy and not missing any capacity. In each stage of selecting and calling citizens to join the army, the Military Commands of districts and cities have coordinated with the Commune-level Military Service Councils and military units to go down to the grassroots, to the families of the youth to do propaganda and mobilization work, implementing well the "3 meetings, 4 knowing". In addition, localities have done a good job of propagating the Law on Military Service so that citizens can clearly see their role and responsibility towards the Fatherland. The effectiveness of propaganda work and military rear policies in the province has had a positive impact on families and youth, including many youth who voluntarily applied to join the army. In particular, it focuses on promoting the participation of the entire political system to care for, encourage, and support citizens with difficult family circumstances, ethnic minority areas, and religious areas...

Colonel Luu Xuan Phuong, member of the Provincial Party Committee, Commander of the Provincial Military Command, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial Military Service Council, said: Of the 1,225 young men enlisted, 1,002 were assigned to military units, including: Division 370 of the Air Defense - Air Force; Brigade 957 of the Navy Region 4; Water Special Forces Brigade 5; Infantry Division 2 (Military Region 5); Provincial Border Guard; Infantry Regiment 896 (Provincial Military Command) and 223 were assigned to the Provincial Police. The Military Service Council at 3 levels (province, district, commune) has promoted the spirit and responsibility, ensuring each stage of recruitment, so the quality of young men recruited this year is generally higher than previous years. Of which, in terms of health type I, II accounts for 64.4%; there are 72 young men with university, college, and intermediate vocational education levels and 73 young men are party members enlisted. The Military Commands of districts and cities have coordinated with the units receiving soldiers to finalize the official number of soldiers. In addition, in order to encourage young men to be ready to join the army, on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2024, local Party committees, authorities, mass organizations and military agencies have organized many practical and exciting activities to encourage young men such as visiting and giving Tet gifts to families of young men joining the army in difficult circumstances; organizing exchanges, meetings, and giving gifts to 100% of the recruited young men, encouraging young men to enthusiastically go to perform military service.

Following the instructions of the officers of the Phuoc Dan Town Military Command (Ninh Phuoc), we visited some families of young men preparing to join the army. What we recorded was the joy and excitement of the young men preparing to join the army. Mr. Tran Pha, Commander of the Town Military Command, said: This year, the whole town issued a call for 57 young men to join the army, of which 47 young men performed military service and 10 young men performed police service; of which 5 young men have college degrees, 2 young men have university degrees. The locality also created a source for military recruitment in 11 cases. Up to this point, 100% of the young men have been present and are enthusiastically ready to join the army, fulfilling the sacred responsibility and duty of young men to the Fatherland.

Waiting for the day to join the army, young man To Van Dung (born in 2003), in Ward 12, Phuoc Dan town, shared: Although he is the main breadwinner in the family, being aware of his responsibility as a citizen to the task of protecting the Fatherland, he wrote a voluntary application to join the army. Following the example of his older brother To Van Tri (born in 2001), who has just completed his military service at the 5th Special Forces Brigade, he told himself that he will strive to complete all assigned tasks well, not to disappoint the trust and expectations of his family and locality. Ms. Lai Thi Hong Hoang, Dung's mother, also confided: Since Dung received the notice of admission, then the call to join the army, the family has felt very proud to have two sons who have joined the army, fulfilling the sacred duty of young men to the Fatherland. I also always encourage him to be mentally secure and take care of his health. In the military environment, one must strive to study, practice, strictly follow the discipline of the unit, and strive to complete all tasks assigned by superiors.

The "military enlistment" festival is approaching, 1,225 young men of the province who have been recruited for military service in 2024 all share the same honor, pride and readiness to wait for the day to leave to fulfill their duty to the Fatherland. In districts and cities, the urgent atmosphere of preparing the stage, flags and flowers to promote the military enlistment festival in 2024 is also spreading to every hamlet and residential group. Up to now, the military enlistment preparation work in the whole province has been completed. To ensure the success of the military enlistment, the Military Service Councils of localities are continuing to organize and strictly manage the number of troops until the end of the military enlistment ceremony on February 25. With the close direction of Party committees and authorities at all levels, the careful preparation of local military agencies and the sense of responsibility of each young man who has been recruited, the military enlistment work in 2024 of the province will ensure the quality and requirements set out. This year's military service candidates are steadfast in continuing the tradition of their homeland and family, overcoming all difficulties and challenges, and excellently completing their assigned tasks.
