This morning, the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly officially opened.

After the preparatory session, the first official session of the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly is scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m. and will be broadcast live on television and radio.

This morning, October 20, the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly will hold a preparatory meeting and officially open in Hanoi . Before the meeting, National Assembly deputies will lay wreaths and visit President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum.

At the preparatory meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee reported on the reception, explanation, and revision of the proposed agenda for the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly. The National Assembly discussed and voted to approve the agenda for the 10th Session of the 15th National Assembly. At this meeting, the National Assembly Standing Committee reported on the dismissal of deputies to the 15th National Assembly in a number of cases decided by the National Assembly Standing Committee during the time the National Assembly was not in session.

The first official session is scheduled to start at 9am and will be broadcast live on television and radio. According to the scheduled schedule, in the morning, the Prime Minister will present a report on the implementation results of the socio-economic development plan for 2025 and the 5-year period 2021-2025; and the projected socio-economic development plan for 2026.

The Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee presented the Report on the verification of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan for 2025 and the five-year period 2021-2025; and the projected socio-economic development plan for 2026.

Also in the morning session, the National Assembly will hear the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front present a report synthesizing opinions and recommendations of voters and people sent to the 10th session of the 15th National Assembly; the National Assembly Chairman will present a draft report on the work of the 15th National Assembly.

The afternoon session will feature the presentation of the 2021-2025 term work report by the President, Prime Minister, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Law and Justice, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court, Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, Chairman of the National Assembly's Committee on Law and Justice, and State Auditor General.

The Minister of Finance, authorized by the Prime Minister, presented the Report on the implementation of the state budget in 2025, the state budget estimate, the central budget allocation plan in 2026, the 3-year state financial and budget plan for 2026-2028; the results of the implementation of the national financial plan and public borrowing and debt repayment for the 2021-2025 period, the draft national financial plan for the 2026-2030 period; the results of the implementation of the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period, the draft medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period.

The Chairman of the National Assembly's Economic and Financial Committee presented the Verification Report on the implementation of the state budget in 2025, the state budget estimate, the central budget allocation plan in 2026, the 3-year state financial and budget plan for 2026-2028; the results of the implementation of the national financial plan and public borrowing and debt repayment for the 2021-2025 period, the projected national financial plan for the 2026-2030 period; the results of the implementation of the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period, and the projected medium-term public investment plan for the 2026-2030 period.

The 10th session of the 15th National Assembly is expected to last 40 days, from October 20 to December 11. This is a session with many important contents. The National Assembly will conduct the contents of the regular session and at the same time summarize the 15th term.

At this session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 66 contents and groups of contents. Of which, regarding legislative work, the National Assembly will consider and pass 49 laws and 4 resolutions on legislative work. Accordingly, this is the session with the largest number of legislative contents since the beginning of the 15th National Assembly's term.

In addition to laws and decrees, at this session, the National Assembly will consider and decide on 13 groups of contents on socio-economics, state budget, supervision and other important issues./.
