World No. 1 Jannik Sinner has officially secured a ticket to the 2025 ATP Finals. The prestigious tournament takes place at the end of the year, where Sinner will have the opportunity to meet his current biggest rival, Carlos Alcaraz. The event is scheduled to take place in Turin (Italy) from November 9 to 16.
Sinner is the reigning champion of the 2024 ATP Finals, having won the title without dropping a set. This will be the Italian's third consecutive appearance and fourth time at the event.
The 23-year-old had a stellar year, winning two Grand Slam titles for the second consecutive season. He successfully defended his Australian Open title in 2025 and won Wimbledon for the first time. At Roland Garros, Sinner also reached the final, losing to Alcaraz.
With Alcaraz being the first player to qualify for Turin, the confrontation between the world's top two players at the 2025 ATP Finals promises to be extremely attractive. Both are creating a two-horse race for the world No. 1 position at the end of the year.
Sinner has held the world number one ranking for 60 consecutive weeks since June last year.
Sinner made his ATP Finals debut in 2021 as a replacement for compatriot Matteo Berrettini.
He recently withdrew from the Canadian Open due to an elbow injury. After nearly a month off, the Italian is expected to return to action with his sights set on winning the 2025 US Open.
Here, world tennis fans expect Sinner to continue to face Alcaraz to create a classic match before meeting each other at the ATP Finals at the end of the year.
