Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade meets with businesses in the western part of the city: Removing difficulties, supporting logistics development and import and export

Leaders of the Hai Phong Department of Industry and Trade and functional units under the Department recently met and discussed with more than 50 enterprises operating in the fields of production, import-export and logistics in the western area of ​​the city.

Speaking at the meeting, in a friendly and open atmosphere, Deputy Director of the Department of Industry and Trade Nguyen Cong Han informed businesses about the city's industrial and commercial development situation in recent times, as well as future orientations, after implementing the arrangement and consolidation of the organization of the Industry and Trade sector.

Deputy Director Nguyen Cong Han affirmed that despite the organizational changes, state management in the field of industry and trade, especially import-export activities and issuance of Certificates of Origin (C/O), are still maintained smoothly and effectively, to ensure maximum support for production and business activities of the business community.

In response to concerns from some businesses about the possibility of difficulties arising during the organizational transformation period, the leaders of the Department of Industry and Trade affirmed that they will always accompany businesses. The Department is ready to listen, receive and promptly resolve difficulties and obstacles in the process of implementing administrative procedures, as well as operating activities related to import-export and logistics. From there, creating a favorable environment for businesses to confidently invest, maintain production, expand markets and develop sustainably.

At the meeting, representatives of functional departments of the Department of Industry and Trade directly answered many questions and feedback from businesses, focusing on the fields of import-export management, issuance of Certificates of Origin (C/O) and procedures related to rules of origin in the context of the city actively implementing Free Trade Agreements (FTAs).

In addition, the Department of Industry and Trade also provided updated information on the implementation of FTAs ​​in Hai Phong , clearly analyzed the opportunities and challenges that businesses face in the integration process; at the same time, recommended that businesses proactively and effectively exploit tariff incentives, diversify export markets, and avoid dependence on a number of traditional markets.

Businesses hope that the Department of Industry and Trade will continue to maintain regular meetings and dialogues, creating forums for information sharing.

Many participating businesses highly appreciated the practical effectiveness of the meeting, considering it an opportunity to promptly update new policies and development orientations from state management agencies. Representatives of some businesses expressed their hope that the Department of Industry and Trade would continue to maintain regular meetings and dialogues, create a forum for information sharing, support in removing difficulties and improving competitiveness, contributing to promoting export growth and economic development of the city in the coming time.

This meeting is one of the activities in the series of programs of the Department of Industry and Trade of Hai Phong to effectively implement solutions to support businesses, promote market development, improve the investment and business environment and promote administrative reform.

Through these activities, the Department of Industry and Trade aims to maintain and improve the city's ranking in important indexes such as: Administrative Reform Index (PAR Index), Satisfaction Index of People and Organizations with Services of State Administrative Agencies (SIPAS), Provincial Competitiveness Index (PCI) and Governance and Public Administration Performance Index (PAPI); gradually building a service-oriented administration, creating the most favorable conditions for people and businesses in the process of interacting with the government.
