Speaking with VietNamNet , a representative of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training said that late in the evening of July 4, the Department of Education and Training announced the exam scores and benchmark scores for grade 10 in 2025. According to the representative of the Department of Education and Training, this is because this year the exam scores and benchmark scores were announced at the same time, so the staff had to work harder to process the data than in previous years.
“Because both the exam scores and the benchmark scores are announced at the same time, there are many steps. When all the steps are completed, the Hanoi Department of Education and Training will announce it right away,” he said.
Another source of VietNamNet reporter said that it is expected that around 8:00 p.m., candidates will be able to look up their exam scores.
Tonight, candidates can look up their exam scores and 10th grade admission scores on the Hanoi Department of Education and Training's electronic information portal (https://hanoi.edu.vn), or the Hanoi City's primary school admission information portal (https://tsdaucap.hanoi.gov.vn).
From July 7 to 9, schools will return application documents and admission exam results for grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year to students.
Before July 10, schools will receive appeal applications.
From July 10 to 12, high schools, vocational education centers - continuing education centers, and vocational education facilities will organize admission confirmation.
On July 17, the Department of Education and Training and specialized high schools and public high schools will meet to approve additional benchmark scores for public 10th grade (if any).
From July 19 to 22, schools will organize admission confirmation and receive additional admission applications (if any).
One of the notable new points in this year's 10th grade entrance exam is the adjustment of the way the admission score is calculated. Instead of multiplying the coefficient by 2 for Math and Literature as in previous years; in 2025, the admission score will be the total score of 3 subjects (Math, Literature, Foreign Language), each subject is calculated on a 10-point scale and the coefficient is not multiplied. This calculation method is to ensure fairness between subjects, encouraging students to study all subjects equally.
The formula for calculating the admission score (ADS) for grade 10 of non-specialized public high schools in Hanoi in 2025 is as follows:
DXT = Math score + Literature score + Foreign language score + priority score (if any) + incentive score (if any).
The entrance exam for non-specialized public grade 10 for the 2025-2026 school year will be held on June 7 and 8; the specialized exam will be held on June 9, 2025.
This year, the whole city of Hanoi has 115,951 candidates registered to take the exam (including 102,860 non-specialized public candidates, 13,091 specialized candidates).
