

Attending the opening ceremony were Standing Deputy Secretary of the Hoan Kiem Ward Party Committee Truong Thi Thanh Nhan; Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Hanoi Moi Newspaper Lai Ba Ha and more than 200 athletes representing military forces, police, workers, laborers, teachers, middle and high school students, and university students in Hoan Kiem Ward.

In his opening speech, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoan Kiem Ward Nguyen Toan Thang emphasized that the Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace is a large-scale traditional sporting event of the Capital, which has been maintained continuously since 1974. After 50 seasons, the race is not only a playground for health training, but also a strong message about the love of peace, the spirit of solidarity, the will to overcome difficulties and the aspiration to rise of the people of the Capital. The race is also a vivid demonstration of the movement "All people exercise following the example of great Uncle Ho" - a movement with sustainable values in building new people and a new society.

The final round of the 50th Hanoi Moi Newspaper Run - For Peace in Hoan Kiem Ward had nearly 200 excellent athletes from units in the ward competing. As a result, the Organizing Committee awarded first, second, and third prizes to individuals and teams. First place in the Labor, Enterprise, and Mass (Labor, Enterprise, and Public) block: Nguyen Thi Mo (female, Hanoi Telecom); Nguyen Tran Tam (male, Hanoi Telecom); First place in the Secondary School block: Bach Ngoc Ha My (female, Nguyen Du Secondary School); Le Duy Tam (male, Thanh Quan Secondary School)...
After the competition ended, the Organizing Committee selected the best faces to participate in the City Final round on September 28 at Ba Kieu Temple Flower Garden and around Hoan Kiem Lake.
